This was my aunts favorite and now ours! Their mini pastys and regular pastys are the best and worth it! Even a friend took my recommendation for their U P. Wedding and were impressed. A great staple for drinks and food for the area. Hometown feel and somewhere we go anytime we're in the u.p..
This place has really gone through some changes over the years. In the early 70s it was the hangout for the airmen from nearby K.I. Sawyer Air Base.
It appears that after the base closure it became a bit less.....bary (is that a word) and much more restauranty .
Either way, Yay them, this place is everything either of those establishments should be.

I don't know if I came and just had bad luck but my bomb cheese steak sandwich was something different so they had to recook the correct thing. I wish I had taken the wrong thing, it looked better than the sandwich I got. A bit dry, not really that cheesy and the steak was ok.
I'm not from the local area so like I said hopefully this was a off day but I did not enjoy my meal. The service was pretty good. The server was bit of an over sharer in my opinion...
