Great coffee, service and atmosphere! We were spending time in Marquette and found this little jewel. Highly recommend it!

Local coffee beanery in town. You could walk from the hotel if you want. Parking up front on the street is free for 15 minutes, or pay by the hour. Sells coffee beans by the pound. Have hot & iced coffee drinks & some baked goods.

We recently ordered 2 lb (Harbor Girl and Dead River Blend) of coffee from their site and will be ordering again.
They are our favorite coffee roaster, we have tried several of their coffee varieties and have enjoyed every one!

I needed a spot to do some work for several hours. The reviews don’t lie—BEST coffee I’ve had in a long time! I drank just Americano, but the coffee was GOOD (this is how you know coffee is better than others). They make all of their syrups in house—for those who enjoy a sweeter treat. I’m going to stop in again for a flavored latte on my way out of town. The barista on staff (the one from Allendale) was WONDERFUL! She cleaned the entire time I was there and was engaging with conversation periodically while she worked. Strong WiFi signal. Very good experience!

Excellent coffee and delicious oatmeal. I'm so glad I stopped in. I had an espresso. They happen to be temporarily out of plastic spoons, but they were so nice about searching through other drawers... I really appreciated the kindness.

Pleasant community environment/ atmosphere as well. I definitely will be back. Thank you for a great start to my Monday morning!

The best coffee in the Upper Peninsula, hands down. Prices are reasonable and there's a wide variety of beans and blends with unique and noticeable notes! Workers are some of the kindest people I've ever met, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Words cannot do this place justice, go and experience it for yourself! :)

Best Coffee shop I've been to

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The vanilla latte is very good, the spiced orange cardamom lattes was good, but could’ve used a little more syrup in our opinion. Love the atmosphere and look forward to going back!

I like to find local roasters when I travel to new cities. I needed a place where I can work one Saturday morning. Dead River did not let me down. Atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. I had just the drip coffee and it was delicious, very flavorful. I decided to purchase some Harbor Girl beans. Brewed those up when I got home, extremely happy I did as they are wonderful. Highly recommend stopping. Will be ordering from their site.

Best coffee in the 906!

Always have to stop here whenever we are in town. The dead river blend is a great for everyday and the Monsooned Malabar is my favorite decadent blend. The staff is always amazingly friendly and welcoming. A must stop if you’re a coffee lover.

magnificent hot chocolate

A must-see when visiting Marquette. Dead River is the oldest coffee shop in the city. Try their mocha which isn't too sweet but enough to be a little treat.

The coffee here was so great, we stopped here two days in a row instead of trying anywhere else!
