This has to be some kind of Marquette "insiders' only" place. On the wonderful suggestion from the tourist guide station on the lake, we headed for the Presque Isle Park loop Friday afternoon. The park is fantastic, but ending the hike at the Island Ice Cream Store was unbelievable. Wonderful service, terrific location with lots of room to rest and recover from the hike and gorge on ice cream, and absolutely the best ice cream I've ever had.
We enjoyed our day jumping off Black Rocks and getting to see all the beautiful views! On our drive out of the park there was a small little free standing ice cream store part that was part of the Presque Iske Park! So we pulled over to grab ice cream of course! We both got doubles, it was very creamy ice cream and hit the stop! They had everything from sundaes to shakes in any flavor you could want! Stop by and always support small businesses!!
