very friendly staff. Patience with me, because I wasn't sure what kind of beer I would like. Blueberry cream was excellent!!!!!
Beers taste like soap
Edit: I had the pilsner and the west coast IPA. Both tasted soapy and I did not finish them. I mentioned it to one of the bartenders as an FYI and said hey it is probably just me. They poured me a small glass of the IPA again and it tasted fine. Likely the glasses not getting cleaned correctly.
Charging admission on new year’s eve is ridiculous. Your product pays for the band, not people’s wallets for just being there. Not a single other bar in marquette charged admission. Pathetic decision by management.
Such a great place for grabbing a beer and enjoying Marquette.
Fresh Beer, Great Vibe, Tuesday Night Euchre!
Staff can be a bit pushy, was waiting outside for a friend and the bartender left the bar just to step outside and ID me. Kind of annoying, I've been in the bar many many times before. I just find it a little hard to believe that he doesn't recognize me. Will not really be going back here anymore.
Clean, good selection, friendly staff, outdoor seating. View of stills from your seat inside. No complaints.
My favorite place to go
Coming from the lower peninsula to Marquette was a trek, but we love the outdoors and a cool brewery. It was our first time here and I was excited to try the Ore Dock brews and thought it was so nice they allowed dogs too. We saw a food truck parked in front of the brewery and thought that's awesome, we're hungry so we'll grab a beer, grub and sit down at a table. We bought our beers & a koozie, everything was fine, went to the food truck (with beers in hand, again this was our first time here) and as were ordering the bartender comes out and says very sternly, "as much as I'd like to drink on the street, you're not allowed to drink on the street" and walked away before I started to apologize and say it was our first time here. We were on the side walk with the brewery tables inches away so it didn't occur to us that it would be an issue. I was taken a back by how rude he was. Even one of the customers next to us was dumbstruck and said "well that was bad table manners on his part." I'm not sure if he was having a bad day or jaded by other customers, but it soured the experience at this brewery and we left as soon as we were done with our drinks. A simple, "hey, not sure if you guys know.." and there weren't any signs. Simple respect and kindness goes a long way.
Great brewery with outdoor patio. Cool merch and big beer selection. Locals are nice. Close to lake and shopping. Easy parking across the street.

Ore Dock Beer is exactly what craft beer should be. Good. Cold. Flavorful. Wife and I got flights each and of the beers we had, not a single pour was poor. All were either good or excellent. Very spacious interior with plenty of outdoor seating. Bartender was friendly and informative.
I’m a frequent flyer, I love this place. It’s my favorite brewery in Michigan(would be my favorite of all time but I’m from Wisconsin and happen to love New Glarus?).
But unfortunately, I did have an experience with one of the beertenders when I went in to buy some of the awesome merch and ask a question. He had brown hair and glasses, didn’t catch his name. I got one-word answers from him and generally his demeanor was snobby and unwelcoming, like he didn’t want to be there and didn’t want anyone else to be either. During the time it took for him to ring me up, someone asked for a sample of beer and he basically refused them, saying they weren’t going to like it. Didn’t offer alternatives, barely even looked the man in the eye and had his back turned to him. He was dismissive with everybody from the few minutes I was there and had a huge superiority complex. I surfed through the reviews a bit and I’d be willing to bet that the negative reviews for the beertenders were mostly if not all about him. You’d think he’d be a bit more humble considering he can’t even manage to get a decent head on the saison I ordered or the light beer my boyfriend ordered when we were there a different time(they were nonexistent). Could easily be that the glasses weren’t beer clean, but that’s also his job to ensure they are.
Listen, I work in the service industry myself and I understand interacting with people can be exhausting. But that’s no reason to be dismissive and supercilious to people who don’t deserve it. I understand that people have bad days, and he was probably having one, but that’s when you plaster on a fake smile and the good ole customer service voice instead of making your bad day everyone else’s problem.
Again, I absolutely love this brewery but he really ruined the experience for me, unfortunately to the point where if I see him working I’ll just turn around and walk out. That’s the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars like you guys deserve so much. I’m sorry.
This was the first place I ever liked a beer and it was the porter! Alas, sometimes it's not on tap. When they have the nitro stout, that's my next option--very smooth and enjoyable.
Outstanding service and product
Absolutely OUTSTANDING! Our daughter got married on Labor day weekend & Kelly, from the Ore Dock made the day, for her & the groom! Even with SUPER short notice, Kelly emailed to let us know they DID have a space available. Our daughter & son-in-law absolutely LOVE this place & now I know why! Their staff is beyond AMAZING!!! Their prices are GREAT!!! And the venues spaces they offer are BEAUTIFUL! It's a great place for small intimate gatherings or large gatherings & super just to stop in for one of their amazing brews with a friend of two! With the different spaces, one could host any type of event & create any type of vibe! Did I mention they have some OUTSTANDING BREWS?? This is such a cool place!!! I totally see why our daughter & son-in-law were ecstatic to share their special evening at the Ore Dock! Thanks so much, Kelly & the rest of the crew! We enjoyed meeting you all & felt truly appreciated & very well taken care of! Looking forward to stopping in on our next visit to Marquette!
