So, we were seated at our preferred table on the patio which was great. I was excited even though I am not usually a fan of Mexican cuisine. My partner loves Mexican food, so I was happy for him. Little did we know the food was never going to arrive. In fact, we never got to place the order. After initial drinks, which we did receive, and a complementary chips & salsa, our waitress was no where to be found. People that came after us placed their orders AND received their food at which point we decided to leave. We cashed out for our drinks with another waitress and we left the place disappointed. We eventually ended up eating at the restaurant just below this Mexican one, so it worked out for me, because, again, couldn't care less about Mexican food.

We loved this place! Nice vegetarian menu, nice views, full bar...There used to be a place in our hometown that had amazing Mexican food, and they are the gold standard for us. This place hit the mark!Vegetarian options: They have a whole vegetarian combo plate menu. It would be hard to not find anything to eat there

Surprisingly authentic Mexican restaurant in Marquette! Cameronas a la Diabla were perfect.

Absolutely love this place! The food is pretty great, service is good and fast. Have a wide variety of drinks, food, and dessert.

This was our go-to restaurant when we come to Marquette (once a month or so). The servers are great and always very friendly and fast. But the food has changed since Fall. Why they changed a good thing I do not know. The flavor is gone and the quality has seriously slipped. I'm sad to say we will be finding a new favorite.

My boyfriend, some friends, and I came here to eat after being recommended. We ordered the pink señorita margarita. That was great. We placed our dinner order, 3 of us getting the pork carnitas. The carnitas were extremely dry. Then we ordered more of the same margaritas. He brought us out something completely different and went back and forth with us that it was the same drink. They weren’t even the same color. Very inattentive to us as well. We waited 30 minutes after we were finished with the food (we could only eat about 1 1/2 if the carnitas) before we had to ask him for our check. While waiting we stacked our plates and such to have the appearance we were done, he never noticed.

Carnitas were great. Enchiladas were just ok. Drinks were pricey and nothing special. Waitress may have been new. She was not very friendly and seemed unsure of herself. Great view of the water.

I went there with my gf before home coming, it was not at all busy and we finished are food and the waitress has forgotten about us and we try to flag her down for about an hour before I visually have to walk up to her and say can I get the check then she brings the check and forgets that I had the check for about another 20 minutes and so then I have to bring it up to her , Thefood wasn’t good it was very soggy, it seemed like it was sitting for awhile. After paying I got a charge on my card which was right but later was charged an extra charge on my card for a tip when I clearly said NO tip.

We got a basket of chips that were disgustingly greasy. Went up to talk to the manager and the manager said they had problems with the deep fryer. They got the issue fixed so our chips should be ok. He never even came over to the table to see for himself. Service was absolutely slow. We waited 45 min and our food hadn't even showed up yet.. He threw the employees under the bus. He has no manager skills and definitely is not for the customers This place needs a new manager. 8/30/22 12:30

We visited here during a weekday evening. Their chip machine was down, so no chips and salsa. Staff was friendly and courteous, though seemed to be understaffed for the evening dinner crowd. Took a while do get margaritas out and tasted rather heavy on the sugar/mix than a balanced drink. Standard fare of Mexcan meals, though we were told more limited selections than in past due to a recently redone/reduced menu. Food came out quickly and was passable. Rice was clumpy and beans on the drier side. Not bad, but nothing memorable either.

They were out of chips and chili rellenos. We had an odd waiter, sort of like a stepford wife. Asked for a drink menu and never got one, we took it from the next table over. The drinks and food were good. Not much on the margarita rim. They have a different red sauce. The prices were good.

They don't list prices on their drink menu - and for good reason. For one "large" margarita they charged $16. Yes, $16 for one mediocre margarita, served in an oversized martini glass that held maybe a can of soda volume-wise. I also can't help but wonder if there was even any liquor in it, since I didn't feel even the slightest buzz (and this is coming from someone who's alcohol tolerance allows for one after just one truly sparkling seltzer). The silverware was disgusting, both a fork and a knife were found to have bits of food cemented on them. Service was slow and our waiter was exceptionally rude and shouted passive aggressive comments at us from the balcony as we were leaving. When we asked to speak with a manager, he was too busy having a dinner date with some woman to come talk to us. A staff member had to point him out for us to go hunt down and disturb his date. Then this manager was completely dismissive and didn't seem to care about the terrible service we received.Overall, worst service I've ever received in my entire life.?Overall ratingPrice: 0/5 - expensive for poor qualityService: 0/5 - rude, dismissive, slowAtmosphere: 2/5 - nice location, lighting/ table placement definitely could use some improvementCleanliness: 0/5 - disgusting silverware, floor desperately needed to be vacuumed/ cleaned

Was there recently and I know they are short staffed and it is also high tourist season but the neglect of attention from servers on multiple tables is awful and shocking. The drinks were good but the food and service (or lack thereof) made it enough of an experience to never return. We watched neighboring tables wait 20-30 minutes for the server come to take their orders after being seated. Neglected providing water, not to mention the server was not personable in the least. As I said the view was great, the drinks were good. Sol Azteca passes itself off as a Mexican restaurant when it is far more "Tex Mex" than close to authentic Mexican cuisine. Just a tip if burritos, fajitas, or "chimichangas" are on the menu that's a red flag. I hope they get their acts together and overhaul the menu someday...until then we will not return and will not recommend.

The atmosphere was nice and the food was good but the service was lacking. Our server started out fine but did not get my order right. I let it go and didn't say anything as perhaps it wasn't her fault. Then as we neared the end of our meal, she seemed to be rushing us out. She never asked if we wanted another drink or dessert, dropped the check and grabbed my plate before I was finished eating. When I finished chewing as she was walking away with it and said something she seemed annoyed and offered to give it back. However she had already stacked it on top of my son's plate and set something else on top of it, so no, I didn't want it back. She never said another word to us even as she picked up my credit card and returned the receipts. Very disappointing after family recommended we eat there.

My husband & I went here for a late lunch. Neither of us were impressed with our meal- he had deluxe burrito and I had a taco salad- just okay. We had churros for dessert, they were pretty good. Our server was friendly but not real attentive. It's on the second floor of a unique building- also has outside patio seating. It wasn't terrible but not sure if I'd go back.
