They’ve received nearly half a billion dollars in taxpayer money. They’re not an elected board, so there is no way for area residents to hold them accountable, and they don’t have to tell any of us how they spend a single penny. If you have no issues with that, that’s fine, but an unelected “chamber of commerce” of a small town of just 7000 people, receiving around $480,000,000 of taxpayer money with no accountability and no oversight is extremely offensive to me.

I’m very disappointed in this organization that has not been transparent in their actions. They do not have the best interest of their community. They do not give the people a voice or the right to vote. They have misused their power. They are deceitful and untrustworthy.

This group has gone rogue by completely ignoring the wishes of community members. Non-disclosure agreements have no place in COMMUNITY development!

MAEDA has been very deceitful concerning the Blue Oval Battery Park. I will never trust them again!

Absolutely no transparency for the residents of Marshall Township and Ceresco, in particular, regarding the zoning and planning processes regarding the Ford Blue Oval Battery site.

Completely disgusted by this organization’s decision to support the Megasite mess. The destruction of historic homesteads and wildlife habitat near our river is deplorable to say the least. It is a crony capitalism endeavor that endangers our community in terms of the environmental impact and a potential threat to our national security, as well as a profound waste of our tax dollars.Ford certainly should not be handed our tax dollars for this initiative let alone given a 15 year tax abatement. Thanks for doing your part to bring future industrial blight to the west side of Michigan and destroying a beautiful small Midwest town. ????‍♀️

Putting up a mega site next to a river that flows into the great lakes which is a good source for fresh water. Dumbest thing I have ever heard. This is where the oil spill happened and there's still clean to be done but nope can't count on them to keep the people safe.

There's a reason Marshall is a nice town. Organizations like MAEDA are a huge part of it. They were incredibly helpful when we moved our bookstore here. They really helped in a failed effort to get an Amtrak stop here even if a long shot! Nice staff too!
