Really enjoyed our lunch at this Michigan icon (nearing 120 years in business). We started with the meatball appetizer... heavenly. I then had the onion soup, which was delicious (and uniquely thick... almost like a gravy). My wife loved the very popular brisket sandwich, with its rich complexion of BBQ flavors. I enjoyed the French Dip, which used high quality beef. We were sadly too full for dessert, but decided to order some more take-home meatballs!
We really enjoyed our lunch. The street corn dip was delicious especially with the flash fried pita chips. All 4 of us loved our choices - shrimp cocktail and Schuler salad (all so fresh tasting), French dip, Turkey Reuben (on the Cranberry Walnut bread tastes like Thanksgiving), and chicken fingers. Everything tasted wonderful.
A classic! We have never been disappointed with food or service. Everything tastes fresh and home made. When my friend drives to Marshall on business, I insist on tagging along just for the pleasure of having lunch at Schuler's. Reasonable prices.
