First time trying this place and the experience was very disappointing. The staff member was unfriendly and couldn’t clearly answer basic questions about the food—she said the egg rolls had a mix of multiple meats all in one, which was unexpected. I ordered crab rangoon and specifically asked for sweet-and-sour sauce, but was given duck sauce instead, and when I asked about it, she just said they don’t have it. To make it worse, the “crab” rangoon was just straight cream cheese with no crab at all—disgusting. Overall, not very welcoming or accommodating, and I wouldn’t recommend.

Lived in marshall from 2010-2023, ate from yin hai the whole time. I grew up just down the street and would often walk there on birthdays to get dinner. I love this place with my whole heart, the quality has never changed. I’ve always gotten the chicken fried rice, and removed the bean sprouts. This place is a staple for me.

We ordered the sweet and sour shrimp the other night and it was awful. There was so much breading on the shrimp that we thought they mistakenly gave us chicken instead. The shrimp were huge and unidentifiable. I took pics of them because I could not believe it. I was hard pressed to find the shrimp when biting into them. I ended up not being able to eat it because it was just all fried breading over rice. Yuck.

We always order the Beef Lo Mein. Personally I don't order anything else from here. The egg rolls and soups are good.
Beef lo mein: noddles, carrots, onions, bean sprouts, and tender pieces of meat.
Menu attached. Picked up on 11/1/2025 for the most up to date pricing details.

This was our first time here, as we only recently moved to the Marshall area. They do take-out only, which worked fine for us.
We didn’t call ahead but the food was up and ready quickly. The food turned out amazing. It was delicious.
It wasn't really overpriced, but the price added up quickly when we added an appetizer and fried rice. But it wasn't totally unreasonable.

Takeout only, but they have incredible prices, cheaper than most fast food places but much better tasting. Food done in less than 15. $16 got my girlfriend and I a whole meal and leftovers. Hard to beat being able to get egg rolls, two entrees, and fried rice for less than $20 and support a small business at the same time

Food wasn’t good. It was AMAZING. That was some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Service had everything right and even gave extra fortune cookies. The atmosphere was cool, the aesthetic was good. 100% recommend rice, noodles, sweet and sour chicken and the shrimp eggrolls were to die for. 11/10.
