So sorry to see Cafe American close for good. It truly made its mark on Midland and became a community favorite for many years! The food was ALWAYS amazing and the owners, Bill and Maria, became like family to mine. This place closing is a huge loss for Midland and it will be missed by so many! I wish Bill and Maria the best on the next chapter of their lives and hopefully, they never stop cooking! ?❤

Delicious food they have everything you can think of. The soup, salads, and sandwiches are to die for. Busy during lunch hours, but worth it if you have the time. last time I was there I ordered the Gyro and it was great staff are friendly and its a cute cozy cafe style restaurant.

I had the best Rueben I have ever eaten. They make their own dressing and it doesn't overpower the nice lean corned beef. My husband had the Italian steak sandwich and it was excellent as well. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Prices were very reasonable and the sandwiches were huge. I look forward to going back soon.

Horrible experience. The portion on the seafood platter was very small, you barely get any fish and a little fries. Our Reuben was burnt, and the chicken did not taste cooked all the way.
