I've stayed at this hotel MANY times, which is what brings us to Cafe Zinc. Have had delicious meals for breakfast and lunch here and friendly service! ..until this Monday 4/8 for dinner. I ordered the $45 filet (which being from Chicago I feel is pricey for a small town) ...and it came out cold. Upon apologizing to the waitress (as if it's my fault but I never send food back so I did)...she very RUDELY grabs my plate with NO COMMENT and stomps back to the kitchen. I felt embarrassed and like she didn't believe me. A few mins later she threw the plate back in front of me STILL with NO COMMENT or apology (it was Luke warm) and I just ate it and left my worst (15%) tip. I put myself through college waiting tables. I don't expect to be treated like I'm making something up bc I wanted my almost $50 filet to be warm. Ridiculous. She shouldn't be in the service industry! Disappointed and would NEVER bring a customer here as we entertain in Midland often!

My second time coming to Cafe Zinc and there was a slight problem with the reservation but Cafe Zinc and the hostess were able to work something out. I guess we might have put two down instead of three however they squared everything away and accommodated us. Our server Andrea was on top of it all and was friendly, welcoming and overall an awesome server. I ordered the bread pudding French toast and it was incredible. I'd order that over and over. We were seated in the bar area and Andrea made it comfortable and added some ambiance to the area. Overall a positive experience both times and I'd absolutely will be returning for a third time when I get the chance.

The food was exceptionally flavorful and not too pricey! The atmosphere was delightful and welcoming ..the waiters did their best to keep up with the amount of patrons and they rocked it!

We are regular customers and just had the worst service I have had in years. We dine in Midland for better service and were treated terribly. We were not greeted in a timely manner, our soup took 30-40 minutes to come out. Our server did not address us or the issue directly he maid a few comments walking behind us about the soup being taken to the wrong table and that it happens. Our waters were empty. We waited another 30 minutes and still no food. We got up and spoke to the manager about the problem she was oblivious to the issues in the dining room. A number of tables were not greeted. And were suffering from poor service all around us. I asked to pay for the soup we did receive be it very late we got it. We paid she wanted to box up our food but we left. My pregnant wife was very hungry and needed to eat so we left. Here two weeks later I am seeing a charge on my credit card for the food we never received. This is not a high class establishment as we were previously under the impression it was. We have dined here numerous times over the years and this has been the worst experience. I am trying to get ahold of Mara the manager about this and am not having any luck. I will try again I am disturbed that two week later I am seeing a charge on my credit card for this food I never received. A hotel like this should be much better.

Stumbled upon this DELIGHTFUL cafe. My mom and I both had the quiche with fruit. Highly recommend. I had a caramel cappuccino and she had a hot tea. The tea came in this cute cup with a hole in the top for the top of the tea bag. It was so cute I took a picture of it and sent it to my daughter, who LOVES a good cup of tea!! The ambiance was beautiful. All white ivory decor and a blazing fire took me far far away. We felt like we were on vacation!! Reasonable prices too. I asked to see a dinner menu.... Wonderful choices. I can't wait to go back. We are planning a birthday dinner for my son and his girl. This would be perfect. We like FANCY but not precocious. 5 Stars!! Service: PERFECT!

My recent visit to Zink Cafe was extremely disappointing. Despite being seated promptly at a high top, the service went downhill from there. After ordering soup, eggs benedict, and a French dip sandwich, we watched as five tables seated after us received and finished their meals before we even got our soup. When it finally arrived, our server informed us that someone else had taken it, brushing off the mistake with a casual "it happens." Throughout the ordeal, our server failed to check in or offer any explanation for the delay. After waiting an additional 20 minutes with no sign of our food, we decided to approach the manager to pay for the soup and leave. Unfortunately, the manager showed little concern or remorse, simply charging us for the soup and letting us go. This level of service was by far the worst I've experienced in quite some time. Disappointing doesn't even begin to describe it. Wish i could leave 0 stars.Not to mention, I am six months pregnant and was very hungry.
