“I always come here before going fishing at Kensington park across the street. They are the nicest people and give the best service. They have a fishing section, dish golf section and deli where they sell all sorts of yummy things. You can eat inside or enjoy the outdoor option where they have outdoor seating. Now they have added a gas station where it will make it even easier to literally get everything you need in one stop! Great people can't say enough about them“

We did a taco/nacho bar with some additional items. I kept repeating their name all night. Every detail was perfection down to the fruit kabobs with my son’s name and college he will be attending. “The staff is nice. They seem happy, the place is chill. That vibe of calmness and familiarity permeates throughout the restaurant. There are a few tvs within view. The food was good. I only ordered a breakfast special pancakes, eggs, and bacon. You know, the usual but everything was cooked well -my scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. Bacon was only slightly overcooked.

It was a couple of groups of elderly men and it seemed like this was their usual spot to enjoy a bite or some coffee and they as well seemed happy as well. Seems like a pretty good place, would come back again. Ample seating & parking.“

The Reuben was stacked with Corned Beef, so no issue with that, other than maybe it was a bit "over the top" in size, but I think that's a good thing. My wife figures her Tuna Melt was basically a whole normal size can of tuna on a sandwich. Another friend just loves their hot dogs (they did pile on the relish). The one place I'd fault them is that the Onion Rings weren't all that impressive. There was very little onion inside and the breading/coating wasn't all that tasty, but it was crunchy. Sadly for me, fried things with salt and ketchup still get my attention whether they are good choices for me or not! Our waitress was quite patient with us.“

“We ordered a table for 2 over lunch. The service was friendly, relaxed and real care was taken that we understood how the menu worked (there is plenty. We went for the Korean (fish) Hot Pot, which was excellent. There is a certain joy to be found, when you have a pot with wonderful bouillon bubbling away to cook your food in. There was a variety of fish and vegetables on a side plate, ready to be cooked. I will definitely revisit and sample some of the other dishes. Highly recommended.“

They've got legit Japanese chefs and a massive menu, so you've got tons of options. The staff is friendly and they don't drag their feet getting your food out. Plus, the prices won't break the bank for most things.

The Hamachi and Katsuo no Tataki were fresh wins, the Onion-Lever is a standout with fantastic texture, and that Akadashi Miso Soup with herbs and seaweed sounds like a real treat!

The Not-So-Good:
Watch out for some misses. The Soba soup apparently has a funky, sour thing going on. The Potato Salad is a letdown in the flavor department, and the fried oysters miss the mark on texture.

The Bottom Line:
Fumi's a mixed bag. You can have a great meal here, but you've gotta be smart about what you order. Stick to the fresh fish, the Onion-Lever, and that special miso soup, and you'll likely be happy. Venture off that path, and you might end up with something you regret. Choose wisely!“

“My mushroom burger was amazing! Cooked perfectly and super tasty. Staff was wonderful, helpful and karaoke night was so fun! Leaving a 4 star because the fries really need some help. Could use new recipe or something, maybe it's how they're fried I'm not sure. I didn't eat mine and my friend who ordered special fries also didn't eat hers. “Stopped in here over the weekend on a whim and was so glad I did! It is small but cozy and comfortable with warm decor. You could actually talk without shouting (like most sterile modern places). Great menu selection with so many of my favorite dishes available, I had a hard time choosing. The food was superb; honestly better than I expected. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, with great portion sizes. Too many places serve frozen, nuked, soggy, bland meals these days, you won't get that here! The service was fast and friendly.
