The entire experience was outstanding. I've dined in before with my family multiple times and the food has always been delicious. I would highly recommend The Lakes.“

“Best pizza in Michigan. They lost my favorite bartender or she quit, oh well doesn’t stop us from coming. The noise can be a bit overwhelming and the service is very good, but the service staff have never asked me if I was a mug club member or if my name was in the system (if you reach 200 points you get $10 off) and for the amount of money that we have spent in there, we would’ve had $1000 off by now. I didn’t know this secret until recently. The beer is better than average 6.5/10. Their prices just went up this past week. We would always get the pepperoni pizza for $19, now if you order the pepperoni pizza, you can choose two other toppings for $21. I don’t want the other two toppings I just want pepperoni so that’s a bummer that it cost two more bucks for that. It’s a nice spot.“

Spicy tuna, spicy salmon, spicy yellowtail, avocado and three different types of fish eggs on top. I also love that they have red clams too which I can’t find most other places.“

Being a native metro Detroiter I recall the days of fabulous almond boneless chicken (ABC) from one particular restaurant. 30+ years later, I’m still searching for that taste. This place is pretty darn close. The lunch combo portion was huge, more than enough for two very generous servings. In fact when I picked up the order the bag was so heavy I checked inside to be sure I had gotten the right order. The chicken was tender and breading crisp despite my not eating it for 45 minutes after picking it up. The gravy is the a bit salty neon yellow I recall. The fried rice with a few bean sprouts mixed in was equally good. I did not care for the eggroll, but its importance was marginal. “My go to “takeout” chinese restaurant in the area; great staff, generous portions, fresh food with great flavors🫶🏿I try different things on their menu and never disappointed. Their brown gravy is SO GOOD lol; I cook and bake and would do anything to know how they flavor their brown gravy for their Almond Chicken😅I always order a couple extra brown gravies just to keep in the fridge for other food I eat🙏🫶🏿I’d say try anything on the menu that sounds appetizing to you💯😁“
