Stayed here for a quick trip for work. I've typically stayed in the Hampton across the road, but wanted to try the Holiday Inn. Lobby is nice and bright and all the employees were very nice. I had a room on the second floor - view wasn't great as it was the roof of the pool. As it got later in the day, I did notice noise from the hallway and footsteps from the room above me. But I made sure the fan was running and it tuned them out. Room was clean and it was nice and bright. The water in the shower didn't really get hot, only luke-warm. I liked being able to move the desk around where I wanted it. Would stay again if in the area.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn for a night when in Mt. Pleasant. Despite being 5 or 6 years old, the hotel still looks and feels relatively newish. Staff were polite and welcoming. My IHG Diamond Ambassador status was recognized ahead of time and I was upgraded before arrival to a suite. However, I didn't receive a bottle of water (none are provided in the guest room). Most hotels will at least provide a free bottle of water in a suite. The room itself was comfortable and featured one of the newer Holiday Inn designs. Cleanliness was okay, although the walk-in shower was starting to show some signs of mildew or mold in the corners of the sliding door. There were also some hairs on the shower floor. No soap is provided. The bar of soap that used to be provided has been replaced by a wall-mounted dispenser of hand wash. I had to ask the front desk twice before finally receiving a bar of soap. The other toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash have also been replaced by public restroom-looking dispensers. Don't bother eating or drinking here. The full-service restaurant is really a bar and counter. The food at night is on par with what you might buy at a nice gas station. There is no wait staff. Just one person working the kitchen and counter. At breakfast, the buffet (around $13 per person unless you had an IHG Diamond breakfast voucher or your rate included breakfast) was on par with the free breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn. Hardly worth paying $13 for. You could get a better breakfast by driving a couple blocks to McDonald's or Starbucks. While I don't expect a Michelin-starred restaurant at a Holiday Inn, I do expect a full-service bar and a cooked-to-order breakfast. Besides the poor quality F&B, my big complaint is actually getting to the hotel. The entrance is one of the worst designed entrances and exits off of a road that I've ever seen. Who was the road engineer or urban planner that designed this? The hotel's sign is a good 50 to 75 feet PAST the entrance when coming from Mt. Pleasant. There is absolutely no signage indicating the entrance off the main road is for the hotel. In fact, that entrance leads into the parking lot of a huge furniture store. If you drive past the nondescript entrance, there's nothing at or after the sign. Instead, you have to turn right on a side street and then drive about a block down and then enter the back of the hotel and drive around the building to the front entrance. This may sound trivial but it isn't. Traffic on Pickard Street (M-20) can be busy and extremely congested. Good luck making a left turn out of the hotel too. All things considered, I may consider returning if the rate was good as Mt. Pleasant doesn't have many good hotel options. It's unfortunate that this is a barebones Holiday Inn. If I returned, I wouldn't waste my time or money eating or drinking at the hotel.

We stayed here while attending a Kid rock concert at Soaring eagle casino. So this is a 115 dollar a night hotel, but on concert night it is a 350 a night hotel. It is clean and comfortable and close to the concert hall. Check in was backed up, only one worker at check in with probably 15 people checking in, but that okay.

Such an amazingly wide variety of Alcoholic beverages as well as a wonderful and tasty selection of food for breakfast and dinner. I honestly would 100% recommend staying here just to eat the food!!!

Very nice property. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. They offered both soft and firm pillows for the bed. Jasmine was very helpful on the phone when I needed to change my reservation, and then also in person when she checked us in the next day. Breakfast is not included at this hotel, but available for purchase. We went down the street to Bob Evans for breakfast, so did not eat at the hotel. The weekend rates are very high ($200 a night) because of the casino.

Finally a hotel that gets everything right-- from the beautiful lobby and restaurant to the well-designed guest suites! Friendly, professional staff, wonderful amenities, and clean and tastefully furnished rooms with a shower to die for!! And the way the suites are set up is absolutely perfect, making me wonder why no one has thought of it before. The living area with the sofa, TV, bathroom etc. is in front, separated by a door that can be closed from the large bedroom at the back that ALSO has a TV. What this means to me cannot be overstated. For the first time in 35 years of staying in hotels, my husband and I can watch TV together in bed at night, but then in the morning, after he shuts the door to the bedroom, he can shower, drink his coffee, and watch TV in the living room without bothering me! Heaven!

We stayed overnight after visiting friends in the area prior to heading to Northern Wisconsin via the UP. This hotel is fairly new and in very nice condition. The bed was great — nicely firm but very comfortable. The pillows were so good that I almost stole one — well, not quite, but they were really nice. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the shower did not have a strong spray — in fact it was better than a dribble, but very weak. The front desk said that they would have maintenance check it, but I suspect that it is a “super water saver shower head” that saves water, but like so many super water saver products (dishwashers, toilets, etc) works so poorly as to be almost worthless. Other than the shower head, our stay was excellent.

i will never stay here again. referenced as a n i g g e r by staff and left at 5am to seek other housing for the night. i was also over billed as well. when i called the front desk it was the most distasteful experience i have ever had at a hotel. as a veteran. i will never. never stay here again. air bnb if you have a choice! you must pay for your breakfast. ihop is across the street and everything seemed to deliver fast. so close to soaring eagle.

Had an awesome stay in this property! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel is very modern and clean, and the rooms are great! Location is very close to the Casino and lots of restaurants. The WiFi was also surprisingly good, probably the best I have ever used in a hotel. I was able to be on a Zoom conference and stream movies with no problem. Overall, a great stay.

I want to publicly thank Diane for going above and beyond in making sure that I was taken care of and safe. I was in a car accident on 127. It was in the evening, I was two hours from home and my car was totaled. The tow truck dropped me and my stuff off. Diane not only checked me in, she asked me various questions about what I needed, got me bandages, and overall, was genuinely concerned about my well-being. She instinctively knew that I would want a quiet room and a late check out. The next morning, she helped me with my belongings. I really felt that if I had needed any help during me unexpected stay, I could have asked Diane for it and she would have done her best to oblige. The hotel was clean and I tell that the "hot spots" in the room had been sanitized. Overall, it was a bright spot in an otherwise bummer of an evening.

Beautiful hotel, lobby and dining area large and sharp. Upon arrival, masks, social distancing required. Room clean and comfortable. Even the remote control for the TV was wrapped in plastic. Breakfast was served and excellent but cost not included in rate.
