Wow! I was just passing through on a road trip but I'd come back to Munising for this restaurant. I mean Pictured Rocks is cool, but the brussel sprouts here were fantastic...that maple sauce...then the goat cheese croquettes...elevate my cheese curd please. I wish I could have tried more of the menu.

My husband and I came here on his birthday trip to have a nice dinner and celebrate. Service was very slow, but we didn’t mind as we knew this was a more upscale place and we knew the food would be good and worth the wait. We had the calamari, gnocchi, and burger, and we did enjoy them. However, when we went to order desert we were told they were out of the crème brûlée and the chocolate cake which were the only two deserts on the menu. No problem - we were sad but understanding… until the server at the table next to us offered a creative ice cream desert solution that sounded simple and great. This was something that was not offered to us, even as a substitute, even after discussing it was my husband’s birthday.

I want to be very clear - we are disappointed in the lack of hospitality at what is clearly supposed to be a more elevated experience in the area, not the fact that we didn’t get dessert. We know things run out and happen, and we were totally fine until we saw other servers going out of their way to make things right. We are disappointed in our server and the service we received. Our server never even checked on us during our long wait for food to begin with, even with an empty water bottle.

TL;DR: food is good, service/hospitality is not.

Presentation of all plates was excellent. However, all plates were subpar in flavor. We had the Ahi Tuna Poke, Fingerling Poutine, Gnocchi, Whitefish, and Surf and Turf for two. We had a wide variety of dishes and the same feedback came up, nothing had flavor or was prepared improperly. Tuna, was not placed in marinade long enough; poutine the cheese curds weren’t really melted and the gravy had no flavor; whitefish itself was cooked great but the horseradish tartar sauce flavor was completely absent; gnocchi pasta was complete mush and cooked to death; surf and turf, the steak was requested to be medium and came out well done. Service was ok, not great but not bad either. Of note, there is a 3% additional charge if paying with a credit card. What I did not appreciate was that the tip % guide was adjusted because there is an additional 3% charge for credit cards. So my initial bill was for example $100, gave a credit card, and my bill was $103. The tip guide being adjusted between the two bills is complete nonsense. Overall, I appreciate what they are trying to do however, the quality was particularly subpar and I wouldn’t go back nor recommend this to anyone looking for a fine dining type of experience or for quality food in general. I would refer folks to one of the burger joints in town.

We hosted a dinner following our wedding ceremony at Tracey’s and had an amazing experience. Every staff member we interacted with was so friendly, the food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were spectacular. Thank you so much for giving us a great celebration dinner! Tracey’s is a must visit while visiting Munising.

Food was delicious. Steak was flavorful but had a LOT of gristle.

Fabulous! Two of us split the charcuterie board, brussels, and whitefish. Topped it off with crème brûlée. Excellent across the board! Great service in a very pleasant atmosphere!

The drinks, appetizers, and staff were amazing at Tracey’s. We had a wonderful attentive server. We order the potato chip white fish and trout for dinner and while they were cooked perfectly, they didn’t have a lot of flavor.

This place is consistently excellent. Not to mention the stunning patio view. Service is great and we always enjoy our experience.

Parking: Not good for campers but can park on side streets or at school parking lot.

Group of six read menu info for Tracey’s that said there were three levels, small, medium or large items. Strange but we were ready to try it. On arrival, our waitress said there were only two levels, small and large. Half of the menu was small other half large or entree sized. Gnocchi is only small size? Ordered. Waitress said they were out of whitefish. And trout could not be substituted on the entree list??? We ordered. Strange to see our men eating. Small cups of food. One of our group ordered $48 ribeye. Came on a mountain of French fries. Three large potatoes at least. Steak was totally fat. How a chef could cook and serve this is incredible. It was not edible. Attempts to talk to this chef got response that he was “too busy”. Manager refunded money. Food does not justify prices. Not the nice place you would expect. Go elsewhere!

It was like eating art work. Absolutely amazing dining experience. We drove 6 hours to see waterfalls and the Pictured Rocks, it would have been worth the drive just to eat here.
