Ordered a cake for my son's birthday with a Ninja turtle theme and a photo collage. I think it turned out and tasted amazing! I recommend them for cakes AND will use them for all my kids birthday cakes!

My Family has been buying cakes here for years now and it has become a tradition almost to always get cakes from Ryke's Bakery. But until recently the past 5 to 6 years the frosting for the cakes is different, becoming more whipped. The reason that we have always gone here for the cakes is that induced "sugar coma" from the buttercream frosting, that is now gone. Not sure if it is from the new owner who said that no recipes are going to change, but not happy at all with the most recent ordered cake.

I moved back here to my beloved hometown Muskegon in November:)I live very close to here.I come here a lot. Coffee and donut(s), repeat. I tip.There's some very good young employees working the counter.There are two or three that um how do I say... They should take Business 101.I insert my card and they instruct you to hit green twice to bypass the tip.Wt helk?The first time I said that's kind of offensivem.. how do you know I don't want to tip?Then it happened again with a different employee... and I realized when you're really young you don't really care about tips well some people some some...the very young adult ones who lack common sense and who have not taken business 101bless their hearts.l ? ??

Originally my review was a one star and I am changing that to a 5 star now because of Drew’s top Notch customer service and his willingness to make things right after a bad experience. It was so refreshing to speak to someone who truly cares about their customers experiences. He not only made things right but we also assured me that he is working to improve the culture at Rykes bakery and because of this I will give the company another shot when I am in need of a cake.

They dropped my best friends wedding cake, making them late to the reception, and didn’t think it was necessary to provide a refund.

Ordered a 7" marble flavored cake with bavarian cream filling and whipped frosting.It was one of the best cakes we've ever had.Everyone raved about it. It was moist and delicious.Decorated nicely. Would definitely order again from here.

Ok my most recent visit was not so good and I really hate to leave a review like this. I came in and purchased my usual sugar, cookies and danishes and looking down to pick which ones to get. As soon as the young lady started to pick up the danish and these little bugs just started flying around and it seemed to be ok with her and she tried to downplay it. In my eyes it was not ok, not even close. So in my eyes, rykey's are selling contaminated food and don't care and we have been going there for decades now.WELL RYKEY'S NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER PLEASE!!! YOUR CUSTOMER DOESN'T NEED THE ADDED PROTEIN ???
