The ground beef tacos are delicious! The service isn't the greatest though. Last time I was here, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for our waiter to come back with the bill and it was hard to get somebody else's attention.
Today was our first time dining in and to say that we were amazed is an understatement. We will absolutely be returning customers. The birria tacos where phenomenal as well as the steak Mexican style tacos. The house salsa is my current top favorite at any Mexican restaurant, it will be hard to beat. Stopped in for lunch and ordered the lunch carnitas. The carnitas had no flavor or crisp and were a very small portion. The flavor just seemed like regular cooked pork.
The server, which I dont remember her name was the best part of my experience. She was very friendly and took the time to talk with her guests. She had a positive interaction with everyone there. La Catrina Grill & Cantina offers some of the best food with great service and atmosphere at great prices. The staff is friendly, nice, talkative, and attentive. Guests were greeted pleasantly and seated right away. The menu has so many choices, including impossible vegan tacos that are tasty and delicious, a quesadilla filled with shrimp and seafood, and a beef chalupa with rice and beans. The Margarita’s are on point. The food is next level, phenomenal, and wonderful. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, and even when busy, there is no delay in food preparation or lack of quality. It is a fantastic addition to the Northside, and customers will definitely return for the people and good food.
