Absolutely iconic Muskegon restaurant. I was raised on the cheddar chili dog special at the downtown location in the 80’s and have never stopped loving it !
Food is always so good and hot! Definitely more affordable than most places. Definitely recommend
We don't have White Castle in West Mi unfortunately but to me this is its hot dog equivalent!

G&L Chili Dogs is a very welcoming and friendly place, known for its extremely reasonable prices. It can be holy busy at lunch time, with a drive thru wrapped around the building. The wait staff is consistently kind, personable, and patient, while the cooking staff prepares food super quickly.
The chili dogs are the main attraction, described as fire, magical, fresh, and tasty. Specific recommendations include the cheddar chili dog on a steamed bun. The gyro wrap is also noted as fresh and tasty. For sides, the buffalo fries are a favorite. The regular fries are hot but can be straight-cut, bland, and unsalted; however, asking for extra crispy fries done to perfection with their Greek Fry Salt is highly recommended. A minor note is that the fries would be far better if they were crinkle-cut. Occasional service oversights, like a lid found inside a drink cup, are mentioned but do not detract from the overall positive experience. The bathrooms are nice and clean.
