I haven't been to this restaurant in a while but I've always loved the food. On this visit I went after the lunch rush and I think there were only two people working. My food was fine and the service was friendly however the tables were all dirty which is understandable after a lunch rush. However after I sat down with my food I noticed one of the workers sat a table texting or whatever on his phone. This seems to be the norm for a lot of restaurants. One easy way...
Fantastic food! Pulled pork with slaw was fantastic. I didn’t think I would like the flatbread for BBQ but it was actually really good! I’ve had true southern BBQ several times in my life and while this isn’t quite the real deal it’s just about the best in this area. Service was quick and the worker was very friendly. On top of that, the price was 1/2 or less than an equivalent BBQ place around here. Will be back to try the rest of the menu.
Their Turkey Jubilee Salad is awesome. Plenty of turkey, walnuts, cucumbers, dried cherries, delicious fruity dressing, and really crisp romaine lettuce. I drive from the Lansing Airport area to get this salad.
