“Been living in Northern Michigan for over 10 years and never knew about Crooked Tree Breadworks until now. This artisan bakery has amazing breads and pastries. The Epi Baguette is fantastic, as is the classic sourdough bread. Tried the orange currant scone and it was delicious. The holiday stollen was reduced to six dollars. There were boxes leftover from Christmas so I bought one. Honestly, the stollen was too old and stale to have been sold to customers. Even though I warmed and toasted the stollen, it was still tasteless. So glad I came here twice because they do have outstanding artisan baked goods but prices are somewhat steep which is expected in an affluent place like Petoskey.“

“The smell of fresh baked goods is enough to draw you in. We bought a selection of cake donuts, fritters, long johns etc. and all were fantastic. The pies looked excellent as well. Wish they had such a place in South Carolina.“

“I cherish coming to this restaurant for special occasions, because I'm convinced that it is truly the finest brunch cuisine (or cuisine overall) that I have had! It's rare to find food of such quality and decadence that you marvel and how it could have possibly even been made. It tastes as good as it looks, and it is the definition of a true, memorable, delectable, gastronomic experience!“

“Birch Tree Bakery recently made desserts for our wedding reception. We had brownies, chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting, and lemon bars. Our guests raved about all of them, especially the lemon bars!“

“My wife and I stopped in there this morning to get some donuts for breakfast. They were super tasty and definitely could tell that they were “homemade”. Betty was super friendly at the counter. We will definitely stop by there again.“

“Respectfully, JoJo’s Cookie Co. has no business making cookies this good. It’s VERY fortunate I don’t live nearby, because my self-control (and my wallet) wouldn’t stand a chance. These are “guess we’re taking a detour” cookies. “I’d book a vacation just to come back” cookies. Best cookies I’ve ever had. No competition.“
