Dated decor, small portion, worst breakfast skillet I have ever had. And I have had many many breakfast skillets in my life!

Should have known when we walked up outside and the torn awning was hanging down. This restaurant has stopped trying to be good.

The food came out fast, this was the best part of the meal. The breakfast skillet was the worst I have ever had. The onions were not cooked so it tasted like raw onions. The scrambled eggs were the instant kind. We got no refills of our drinks.

Came in for a classic breakfast and was met with just that and a kind and inviting staff.

Worst service I’ve ever had. Very strange and off-putting vibes in here. Could hear our waitress swearing, yelling across the restaurant at the staff to not answer the phone. Could hear the kitchen loudly fighting with her through the pickup window about orders that weren’t ready yet. She really didn’t know how to handle herself, and apparently she was in charge… We waited an hour and twenty minutes to receive our breakfast. Then it came out wrong. In that context, she made inappropriate and ill timed jokes about my 8 year old daughter, was combative in tone and disposition towards myself and my sister, and said “well, things happen!” while refusing to own any of the mistakes. The rest of the staff had glazed over looks on their faces and were waiting for the craziness to end - two hostesses were fantastic and helped out when they were allowed to. Really hoping the owner sees this. If we lived in town, I’d come in to speak with you in person about this visit. This lady will tank your business.

My favorite local restaurant to eat at in Petoskey. The Pumpkin pancakes make my life better

I have enjoyed this place for YEARS.
Classic Diner.
Mediocre/good food and coffee that just takes you back in time.

Sadly, I would have given a higher rating but, their prices have recently just gone too high for the quality.

what a wonderful place to have breakfast/ lunch at. Our whole Experience from walking in was amazing. we were greeted with a friendly face and handed menus right away. We had Cammy as our waitress and she was super nice and funny. Made our time there memorable . The Food WAS AMAZING and filling and worth every dime. your Canadian friends will Definitely will be back .

We ALWAYS love going to JW Filmores, this is our families favorite sit down restaurant. Love the biscuits and gravy, just wishing the seasonings would be a tad more inclusive 😋
