My favorite UpNorth winery. I look forward to visits with Syrah - best winery dog ever! Wines, beer, food, and staff are worth the visit.

Wonderful time at Mackinaw Trail — staff was extremely knowledgeable about the wine and beer options. We even chatted with the owner a bit about his start in the wine industry and how it has grown over the years. Beautiful location for a wedding, group function or just to relax and have a drink! Highly recommend. 10/10!

We wanted to love this place as the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is great! But oh my… the wines are some of the worst I’ve ever had. While no expert, I’m a regular wine drinker who enjoys a variety of flavors… but this was quite literally hard to choke down. The feta dip was delicious, and was the only saving grace!

Edit: Dropping rating to a one, as I’ve never seen a business owner be so childish in their response.
If you can’t handle honest feedback without bullying and demeaning the reviewer, you shouldn’t be in business.

Our favorite Northern Michigan winery. We always stop when we come up and they never disappoint. Highly recommended the smoked whitefish pate with crackers!! We also had the chicken salad sandwich with cherries and it was delicious. Love the strawberry rhubarb wine along with others. We really enjoy the country setting on the patio overlooking the grapes and visiting with the dogs. We'll be back next year!!

Love this winery! We had common viewpoints with the owner which is always nice. Food is great! They allow dogs! Love the Chardonnay and cider. We love when they have live bands as well. Always a fun time and great atmosphere!

Good place, limited service. Good wines, but not great. Nothing against them, but slightly above average overall.

One must take advantage of being in Michigans wine country. We stopped in for a few bottles of wine with friends (and also purchased a couple for home). They feature wine tasting, Parties, weddings and tours. This winery not only grows the grapes and produces the wine but it also bottles and ships. Staff was funny, engaging and friendly. Very nice wines, especially the reds blends which I had.

Sadly this was our first winery on our wine tour and didn’t start well. Upon arriving 10 mins early for our scheduled time by our wine tour company we were told right away that we would not be able to do a true wine tasting flight due to the fact the party of girls and that was still there was 2 hrs late so they could not accommodate that many at the same time. I guess I never knew that’s how scheduled visits in the wine world worked. I almost wished they hadn’t even told us that. The wine was really good though and the bartender did try to accommodate us by letting us try something if we weren’t certain on what to order but unfortunately the tone of the visit had already been set.

My wife and I stopped in for some excellent wine flights and appetizers and had a great time! The family/staff are so accommodating and friendly, and stayed well after closing time to allow us to finish our wine and chat with us. Will be back whenever we’re in the area again!

Very disappointed with the service. The environment is beautiful and pleasant, but the good ends there. The prices are high and the menu is restricted, there are 4 food options! The worst part was when paying the bill, they offer a discount for paying in cash, but they denied me! I didn't want to argue, but I'm sure the other wineries in the region are better options than there.

Beautiful winery and large selection of options. Every wine I had was really good. Definitely would come back.
