“I recently went to the Farm for the first time in my life this year (2024.) I was given the chance to enjoy their Bourbon Dinner event with my wife. It was absolutely fantastic. I grew up in the area and can’t believe I’ve been missing out this whole time. The atmosphere was comfortable, the food never missed a beat, and the owners were so incredibly welcoming! The mixed drinks also had an element that made them light on the mouth but produced a happiness to the soul. In the end my mouth is watering thinking about the next time I get to eat there. Please do not miss out on this staple of luxury here in the Thumb.”

“The best pizza I ever ate. I’ve had pizza from New York and Chicago but this Pizza House was the best ever!!! Lots of cheese and lots of toppings. Excellent cheese pull. Pizza sauce so yummy and the pizza crust is so good. I normally don’t eat the crust but this crust is so good!!! Excellent food and professional and friendly service. It’s clean inside and out. “Raised along the waterway of Michigan. Was looking for fresh perch. I've had it at three other restaurants on my trip. Fireside had the best by far. I went to a local restaurant in town of Port Austin called the Bank and had their perch dinner there which was very overpriced, where as the Fireside had exactly same dinner with more perch it was tastier and fillets were larger, and priced lower. If I'm in the area that is where I'm going to go to eat, at the Fireside!!Wheelchair accessibility: Absolutely love the atmosphere. If the restaurant is full there is a covered area so you won't be out in the weather.Very relaxing and homey restaurant log cabin styled.”

“This is a fun, old fashioned ice cream shop. They have about 50 different flavors of ice cream and really good waffle cones.There's not a lot of seating inside, but there are picnic tables outside or you can walk to the pier.The pricing is very fair, the staff are friendly.”

“My friend and I were taking a day trip in the Thumb area. We saw the Bank restaurant and decided to grab a bite of food. The service was great but it's their off season so no one else was there besides us on a Friday early afternoon. The atmosphere was unique. I loved old pictures that hung on the walls. We also went upstairs where you felt you were transported in time. The food was very delicious. We had appetizers, along with soup. I would definitely go back.”
