Went out to dinner here with my (very large/loud) family, and the waitress was on top of it! I wish I remembered her name, I would love to give her a shoutout for fantastic service. Large parties are stressful, especially ones with kids, but I don't think a single one of us were left wanting for anything. The food is always good, which is why some of us are willing to travel almost an hour for it. But just wanted to make sure she got some kind of a shoutout for being great at her job!!Kid-friendliness: The 2 young kids in our party were treated great and left very happy!

Art Deco Bar with Original Neon inside and Outside. As a lover of fried Chicken, an admirer of a historical and long Proven Business model /Restaurant, It's the 1930's Americana which I Love! That's why I go. Believe it or not their Signature Food "Chicken in The Rough" is one of the very first Roadside Fried Chicken Franchises in America. I love the Old-Timey Meal of Fried Chicken and FF a Roll and Honey along with a side of Cole Slaw in a Red Plastic Wax lined Dinner Basket! The Servers are as Dedicated as the Owners whose upkeep of the near 100 yo Establishment is admirable. You Can't Not Stop In for a Fried Chicken Dinner at this incredibly cool Stainless Steel and Neon Wood and all original interior. There's also a walk-In back door that Carry-Out can be ordered through. I'm 58 and first went there when I was on a Sunday Drive in the 70's with my Parents. It's consistently Delicious all these years later. Enjoy.

I’m was raised on a farm and raised chickens. While in P.H. We Stopped by and ordered their chicken fried gizzards which sucks. You would think that they would par cook them in broth prior to frying but they don’t. They just bread them and fry. We pressured cooked or par boiled in broth before deep frying which gives them a softer texture and are more tasty . Just frying, they a very chewing, no taste but the breading it’s like eating them raw. Cross that place off for return visit!

This place is always a jem but unfortunately we had a terrible experience yesterday. We are used to the same waitress every time we go and have been coming here for over 8 years. This time we had a different waitress and she was definitely not up to par. She forgot several things that we asked for and after bringing the food to our table and never came back again to check on us or fill our drinks.
