Applebee's Grill + Bar

So we just wanted a quick dinner before a long list of to dos this evening. Upon presenting our credit card, Mary (our server) says "well it least it's not Trump on there! I have seen several of those, and I am not a Trump fan". Then she proceeded to blame the closing of other restaurants and stores on Trump. Seriously!? 1st your wrong. 2nd we didn't ask for your baseless political opinions. This restaurant can't afford to run off any more customers at this point. The staff should learn to stick to service not things they 'think' they know. You never know who you may be talking to.

They were understaff which I get however servers were constantly passing me and a few other people who order carry-out and not even checking in, it took almost 20 minutes for someone to ask me if I have been helped and then gave me my food which was ready at 6:45 according to the online page tracking. I arrived at 6:50. I received my food and halfway as I was driving home and eating it it was literally cold. I had the southwest bowl. I had it before and It was served cold so yea I’m mad as hell. Most definitely is horrible, should have went to the one on west main.

Worst service in my life waited over an hour for our drinks and food was cold. They were not even that busy!

Ordered extra cocktail sauce and got none. Ordered utensils and got none. Zero toppings on salad except for 1 crouton. Pathetic location in my opinion.

Having heard that Applebee's had improved their menu and adjusted prices, we decided to give them another chance at least 10 years after our last visit. We were seated, and our drink orders were taken after telling us that they had no CO2, so they had no soda. It's not a great start, but things happen. After realizing we effectively were just transported to the set of the 2005 movie Waiting, we started to realize that the real issue is the facility. This restaurant has not changed at all in at least 20 years, and in this case, that is NOT a good thing. The carpet is worn, dirty, and not vacuumed. There is a terrible cold draft from the windows. The walls have obvious patching, and the booths are in bad condition. Even more concerning the ceiling of this place is a level of terrible that had we not already ordered, I would have left immediately upon noticing. Given that the weather is -2 degrees in Michigan right now I was also surprised to see flying insect buzzing around our table mid dinner. The food was mediocre but passible, but our service was fine. Kudos to the wait staff it's a tough environment to make guests happy in.

To summarize: Service: Good. Food and prices: passible. Facilities: Absolute dumphole. Come on Applebee's DO BETTER.

Love the to go option! I always get the three cheese penne chicken pasta and add a 6oz steak to it! (It's only $6.99 for the added steak 😉) Save half the pasta and steak for dinner the next day. 😁

Super deal right now. Great really good $9.99 Thick, Fresh Burger, Fries and Drink Deal. Super Burgers, including cheese AND bacon! And the Fries were perfectly cooked. Limited time.

The food was very good but small portions, but the waitress was very pleasant and helpful .
