We had Filet Mignon... this was truly the best Steak Dinner I have ever had in a restaurant!!! The steak practically melted in my mouth! The Asparagus was excellent! The ambiance was so comforting! Our server was Chris, and she couldn't have been any nicer and accommodating!! She made the experience at the restaurant perfect! It definitely won't be my last visit! I will drive from Flint just for dinner and head home.

This is the second time our party of 8 has dined here during our "UP North" Football weekend. Once again it was fabulous. Beth M. was the best waitress one could ask for. She gave us time to chat and catch up with each other and yet was attentive to our needs when appropriate. The Prime Rib $29 "Queen's Cut" was excellent. Equaling the best I've had down state. My wife would give this 5 stars but while East Bay Grille is very good, I reserve my 5 stars for Excellent and also Exceptional. Best place for fine dining in Houghton Lake area. Menu is not extensive but covers all the basic choices. We started with Crab Cakes, came with nice somewhat spicy aioli. Two big cakes on nice spring lettuce.
