“A small little ice cream shop that has a little park area behind it for eating the ice cream outside. I'm only rating it 4 stars because it gets super busy super fast. That's not really the store's fault, but it is a thing to note. If you're getting there on a hot day expect to be waiting a few. The staff are pretty friendly and the ice cream is rather tasty. It's Worth the wait.”

“This is s local bar in Houghton Lake. The atmosphere is typical if a friendly place to hang out. The staff was very friendly and constantly checking on us to make sure we had what we needed. The burger is one of the better bar burgers I have had in some time and the fries were hot and tasty as well. Nice place to hand out with friends for a beer and burger.”

“It's my kind of place. You probably are not going to give this a 5 star review however. Cash bar, cheap drinks with plenty of selection, a regulation shuffleboard table, not one but two pool tables, a jukebox with plenty of amps, and a great crowd of regulars. You've got to have an appreciation for what this place was in the 60's Houghton Lake. If that nostalgia doesn't appeal to you, there are lots of "nicer" local bars.”

“Although I LOVE Subway subs I haven’t eaten here in a long time because of the nitrates and nitrites and also msg in the salami. It gives me skipped heart beats so I need to stay away. But I still crave them and they are sooo good! Only suggestion to give is there should be a shield on the other side where the employees take the toppings from so let’s just say they shouldn’t speak over the food. Hope they are now wearing masks while doing so. Otherwise nice place.”

“We had a wonderful dinner at Lee's Kitchen. The food was good, our server Mary, was attentive and the atmosphere was nice. It was a quiet and relaxing meal.Vegetarian options: We didn't have any problems finding vegetarian options for our dinner.”

“I was very hesitant to visit this establishment, on a Stoney Friday evening around midnight:30. To our surprise, sweet sweet Deborah greeted us with a listeriosis smile, and counted our change to an exact amount. Furthermore, the food, my goodness the food! Fries cooked to perfection, McDouble made from Ronny himself...I could not be happier”

“We stopped in for a first time visit with the kids, none of which knew what they wanted. The staff was patient with them while they chose their goodies. The cases looked very yummy with all the fun treats. I will say, the only thing I didn’t love was that all the frosting is cream cheese based, which I don’t love, so that turned me off immediately. But I know most people love it. We got a couple frosted sugar cookies, a cream puff, a few chocolate chip cookies (filled with ganache), a pineapple upside down cupcake, and a strawberries and cream cupcake. My favorite was the strawberry cupcake (it had strawberry jelly in the middle!!). We will come back to try some of the other fun things they have.”

“We made a special trip here to try the Mexican food, today is Thursday. We sat and looked over the menue several times and saw nothing Mexican on it. So I checked the online review where I saw the burrito photo, yeah we were at the correct place. When the waitress came back we asked her and she told us that they only serve Mexican food on Tuesdays. She named all of the dishes that are served on "Taco Tuesday " which contained many. But, remember I told you today was Thursday. She was super nice when we asked to get our drinks to go. We did leave her a $2 tip on the table. We then paid $5+ at the cash register for our two Cokes and went on our way.The place is small and quaint, a bit dark when comes to their lighting. The staff was friendly. If I ever get a Tuesday off with my husband I may visit again.”

“This place has really great Guernsey brand gourmet ice cream and really tasty "feel good" eats, there's just about something for everyone on the menu, and all that with a very friendly staff!Pro tip: Us locals know there's usually WAY smaller lines at Polar Parlor than at Nibbles, and although Nibbles has really good ice cream & shake, I actually prefer Polar Parlor.Almost a summer tradition now, when we round that corner and I see that long line... I tell my wife, "Let those *down and outers have Nibbles, we've got Polar Parlor"Ahh, those poor, lost ice cream seeking souls...If only they knew that peace, harmony, and shorter lines were just beyond the horizon.Parking: It can get a little packed in mid summer, but nothing too crazy.”

“I've been wanting to visit this place for a long time. The Ribeye I ordered medium and it was cooked perfectly as were the shrimp on top. The prime rib that was raved about really was mediocre though. I'm still drooling over the French onion soup. That would be amazing over the prime rib.The staff was really great, there was a new guy who did a good job and an experienced gal, she was holding it all down while also guiding him. She should be commended for being so great!Upon entering I felt awkward because it was a banquet hall with minimal decor and despite many other diners it was dead silent, eventually there was some quiet music that played.Suggestion for the dining area, To hide the stuff at the back of the room, build some wooden dividers that are on casters so they're mobile for events.Get whisky barrell flower planters, also on casters, 10ft 4x4s and cement them in and put them around the room and hang Edison lights across the room. Both of these examples are on Pinterest and would make a much more intimate experience in such a cold awkward space.”
