I had been in the past, and had been a bit bland. But lately they have really improved! My wife and I went recently and it was awesome! We got the California Burrito, and I'd highly reccomend it! My wife got some tacos that she was quite pleased with. We will be going back again! One minor thing. They are next door to a tobacco store, and the smell leaks through a bit. But not too bad.

I stopped by for lunch 3/29/23I order three veggie tacos with side of beans and rice. It was the most disgusting ? taste ever. The food looked like it was picked up from the garbage, the beans were cold. The two young girls that were serving lunch were so unprofessional.I also ordered a side of French fries. My French fries were burn. They tasted like the oil has not been changed in months. The ketchup packages were expired and the tables were dirty. I ended up throwing my food away.
I'm grateful for the face that I don't have to drive to Pontiac to get their burritos anymore. I've been probably a dozen times, got something different each time, and I've never been disappointed. If you like Mexican street food, there's no other place around that competes.

Great fish tacos. Even better than when you order the fish tacos in their Pontiac location. The white sauce on the fish tacos is very good, you can ask for extra. Have tried several of their dishes, and they are good.

I love Carnival Market in Pontiac but this place is not the same. We got a chance to try it before we abandoned our house in Troy to leave for better schools and a safer city. It had only been open for a couple of weeks. The food was bland, as if everything was dunked in water and rinsed of flavors before serving. The veggies were fresh on the tacos and nachos. The second star is for cleanliness.
Late post but went here after final exams at OU.Good food, decent price. The only negative aspect is that the smoke is seeping through the ventilation (smoke shop next door) into the lobby. please fix it.
Food is fine. Not as good as the food made at their Carnival Market in Pontiac to be sure.Service has been disappointing since opening. Today I called in an order for three people. I left a tip on the to go order and drove home.Carnival Mexican Street Food got two of the three orders wrong and did not put the sides of sour cream and guacamole in the bag.I called to let them know the order came out wrong. They told me to drive back to the restaurant in 20 degree snowy weather with the food and the receipt so they could see if they got it wrong. I asked if they could just refund my tip. Nope. Told to bring the food and the receipt back so they can see for themselves. Staff and manager argumentative about it.I REALLY wanted this business to succeed because Carnival Market is terrific. But this local restaurant was left in the hands of people who earn their hourly wage and don't care about quality or service or staying in business.Note: Appears to share a ventilation system with the cigar shop right next door. Restaurant always smells like cigar smoke. If you are sensitive to smoke, it may be a problem for you.

The reasturant smells like someone is smoking inside. I think the tobacco shop next door is leaking over into this place. The food is good but I feel nauseated being in the store and cant come back.

The tacos were delicious. Fantastic food and service as well. I went in and some guy did his Monokuma impression for me, it brought me to tears. I wish there were more stars I could give this establishment.
Ive been to this place twice, both times it was empty and i had gotten carryout through doordash. Probably the worst mexican food i ever had. Both times i was there, there was tone cook who had looked like he was still in highschool and another teen working. I have never seen this place busy. The meat i had in my food tasted like something i would feed my dog!

Honestly deserves a 14 out of 10. I went there expecting just some normal tacos but ended up eating food straight from heaven. There was some guy there who called himself the blue beetle and it made my daughter smile for the first time since being paralyzed. Next time I go there I’m bringing all 30 of my cousins.
In a word, amazing. That’s what comes to my head when I think of this fine establishment. The food is great and the staff are even better. One member of the staff in particular named Alex is the saving grace of this town, a breath a fresh air to tired lungs. He’s the type of guy to run into a burning building to save your whole family and then thank you for your time. Anyways yeah if you like authentic Mexican tacos and great service then I recommend you check this place out.
Nice restaurant, serve Jarritos. The burrito and tacos had nice presentation, but were flavorless. The street corn was obviously pre-cooked and reheated. The corn was cold & the food tasted like bland leftovers.

I would not go back. Meat in tacos was very dry. Corn tortillas was very soggy to the point where you couldn’t pick it up. Bacon in Sonoran wasn’t cooked fully. Portion of guacamole was tiny…I’m being generous with one star.
Walked in excited to order and enjoy the food, but was overwhelmed by the smell of cigars...The exhaust from the tobacco shop next door is somehow entering the fresh air ductwork of the restaurant.I see this has been a problem for quite some time according to the reviews. This is just sad and shows they know about the issue but have chosen not to correct the problem. It literally smells like someone is smoking a cigar in the building.
