One of my favorite places to get dinner and definitely my top place to go when I'm craving Italian food. Drinks are great and there's a great wine selection to choose from. Service goes the extra mile and it's a cozy place located right in Downtown Rochester. Love this place!

My husband and I ate here last Friday. Although the front of the restaurant is indeed cramped, it is lively and is my preferred seating area rather than the back room.We started with the winter crostini and bacon wrapped dates with mascarpone. Both were amazing and I've been thinking above them ever since! The crostini were finished with a light lemon oil - subtle but delicious. The mascarpone stuffed dates were the perfect accompaniment to the crostini. Unfortunately, I didn't want to stop eating either one of them so I wasn't able to eat much of my dinner. My husband had the Munchi Funghi and I had the pasta with palomino sauce. He loved his pasta. The last time we were there, one of the staff gave us a tour of the downstairs basement area. It has stone walls and such a cool, dungeon vibe. I don't know what their plans are for that part of the restaurant but they need to turn it into a dining area. I'd be eating there constantly!

After waiting for 1 hour, they sat us at a table. About a minute later, the owner shows up and acts like we came and sat ourselves. He tells us it’s not our table and we have to move. I would have excused the lack of courtesy but the rudeness and the attitude crossed the line. Never going back

Had a wonderful evening at Bolonga Via Cucina! Mt husband and I were looking for somewhere new to try and we’re so glad we made reservations here. We were sat in the back dining room, which had great ambiance. There were families, a birthday party and couples dining, but the room still felt intimate and cozy (I will say I wouldn’t want to sit in the crammed front bar area and glad we sat in the back). The service was attentive yet not rushed, and our server Julie took care of us very well throughout the meal. They have a great bar selection, and my husband particularly enjoyed the Italian Old Fashioned while I had a glass of Malbec. Everything we ordered was delicious with generous portions. The Caesar salad was on point and the bread was the best I’ve been served at a restaurant in a long time. Our favorite dish was the chicken Parmesan ; the cavatappi funghi was also flavorful. The tiramisu was fresh and divine. We usually skip desert and so glad we didn’t this time. We will definitely be back to try more of their creative Italian menu. Highly recommend!

The Palomino sauce is sweet, creamy and sticks to the pasta. It is one of my favorites. The wait staff is attentive, efficient, friendly and quick to bring refills and extras. The atmosphere is ok but if you enter from the rear parking lot you have to climb a flight of stairs which can be challenging for seniors or those who are impaired. The curbside parking is limited but allows for a ground floor entrance.

The bruschetta was quite good. Great value during happy hour. The calamari was decent. I was unimpressed by the wild boar pasta. The cocktails were well presented.

I miss the days when it was called Towers Pizza or even Blackbird Bistro but regardless of the name, the quality of food hasn’t changed. They must have taken a page out of The Sopranos Vesuvio’s restaurant because this place serves authentic Italian cuisine! I’m a sucker for good authentic pizza and it still has that flavor I remember when it was still called Towers Pizza; at least the cheese pizza. FYI since it is Downtown Rochester parking is enforced from 9am-9pm so bring some change for the meter. You won’t bother going back to O garden… once you’ve been here.
