I had a lovely time here! We had a huge party of about 17 people and they did a great job serving us. We sat in the upstairs area and our waiter did a great job going up and down the stairs constantly. The place is very colorful and the chairs each have their own image on them. I enjoyed my margarita! It was big and I could taste the liquor but not so much it was killer. The frozen version was a bit sweeter but good as well (watch out for that brain-freeze). The restaurant was very accommodating to requests we had on some of the meals we ordered. I got the pollo supremo which I've never seen on any other Mexican restaurant. It's chicken and mushrooms in a cream sauce and it's is so so so good! Every time I come to Michigan I have to have it! The birria tacos looked great but sad they did not come with any consommé. The taco salad is also a good go to. Until next time Cinco de Mayo!!

This is my 2nd visit here and both times I wasn't happy with my meal. Today the music was loud. They didn't make small talk with us or smile. We ordered a wet burrito and tacos. We asked to only cheese & meat on the taco. They didn't do what we asked. The wet burrito was soggy. The sauce was watered down. No flavor.

A great restaurant that I didn't even know was located in Rockford! Delicious food, decent prices, authentic decor & 2-story dining areas w/ staircase. I'm deducting 1 star because I ordered the vegetarian fajitas and although there was twice as much stir-fry veggies given, there wasn't nearly enough rice. I'd still go back!

I was so excited when I seen I actually had a Cinco de Mayo in my home town of Rockford Michigan and I no longer had to deal with the parking issues of the Cinco de Mayo in downtown Grand Rapids. Though it can still be a pain finding parking in Rockford that's allowed for more than 15 minutes even in front of Cinco de Mayo. The food here is excellent as well as the Service. Our waiter Angel has become part of our Family practically. More like a step child though still consider him as Family. The food always comes out really fast and I must recommend getting the pineapple dish. Absolutely melts in your mouth it's so delicious!! I actually compare it to sex!!!

This restaurant is good, comparable to other Mexican restaurants around. They've got the others beat with their dessert though. The deep fried ice cream is better here. I recommend going in to eat opposed to takeout, as Mexican food in general does not fare well in a to-go box for any period of time. They have a lot of Margarita flavor options! Great location right down town. We Would go back.

We love coming here!!! The food is always superb, the customer service is always the best in the area and you cannot beat the Mexican theme, all together making a fantastic place for lunch or dinner - Yummmmm!!!!???

Such a disappointment! No matter how many people at the table, Cinco de Mayo has an upcharge for extra tortilla chips and an additional upcharge for more salsa. The upcharge for shrimp on one small taco was $2.50. Only 1 single dried-out lime wedge was provided for 3 tacos with an upcharge for additional lime wedges. Cinco de Mayo uses 7-up in their "classic" Margarita which overpowers any of the tartness in a classic Margarita. All questions from patrons must go thru the 1 staff member who spoke fluent English. Even tho we were ahead of dinner crowd and restaurant was empty, service was extremely slow . All the employees appeared unhappy to be working. Upon leaving and paying bill in cash, the cashier informed me that they don't refund small change, but rather they round up on the bill.
American cheese on Mexican food? It feels like a crime, honestly. The salsa and chips were decent, the margarita was very weak. I just can't get over AMERICAN cheese on Mexican food. We won't be going back.
