If you’re over in the Grand Rapids/Rockford area, definitely go check out the Corner Bar, Rockford Michigan. I was there to take in their coney dog challenge, but my wife and daughter’s food was amazing too. My daughter who NEVER finishes her plates completely devoured her pulled pork pasta. Super fun atmosphere and the staff was great. Also a HUGE selection of root beer and local beers on tap. We are from the greater Lansing area, but plan on definitely making the trip west again to try other amazing looking things on their menu.

chili dogs. we used to love them, but not anymore. the buns are very dark, and taste like the dark crust on bread, all of it. not steamed or soft, just not good. hardly any chili on them, hotdogs itself, was not done. ate there, plus ordered 2 of their boxes if 12 to bring home. I wasted 66.00 on to go, and 10.00 there. won't be getting hotdogs there again.

I've been coming to the corner bar for like 20 years. A to go dog hits the spot but was pretty disappointed with a sit in meal. Portions were small. Dogs were only OK. Chicken tenders were bad.

The atmosphere here really steps into it's hot dog challenge. The walls are stacked with plaques to people getting the minimum 12 or greater. The building is an older building, but it has nice big windows giving it a bright and airy feeling.

I order the Bacon Cheddar Dog Basket ($12). This is two Corner Bar Dogs smothered with chili sauce and piled high with freshly shredded cheddar cheese and a hickory smoked bacon strip. These were good, but I didn't see what the big deal was. I think maybe if they wrapped the dog in bacon it would have helped, also I didn't taste the chili in it. The fries were good, however they were nothing special. Just properly fried standard crinkle fries. I also got a Bavarian Dog ($6). This is a ¼ lb grilled bratwurst topped with stone ground mustard and kraut on a steamed pretzel bun. I enjoyed this dog more. This dog with the others topping would have been a hit for me. They also have a large selection of Root Beers. The 2 I tried were CICERO Salted Caramel Root Beer and DANG! Butterscotch Root Beer. Both were unique and delicious.

The service was friendly and okay. However they got busy after I ordered and I felt forgotten. I needed another drink and I couldn't order it till they brought my bill.

Overall a 3 1/2 star review, that I'll round up to 4 stars. Would I return? Yes, with a caveat. I would need to already be in the area.

A staple in the community that everybody loves. Take out continually has errors with orders, check prior to leaving. Food quality has went down in a post Covid world, but where hasn’t it. We go for the tradition and memories.

Always an outstanding time at the corner Bar in Rockford. This was a lunch outing and I had the coney dog basket w/fries and my partner had the Bavarian dog basket with sweet tater fries. Service was excellent as always and our orders came out quickly despite the large crowd.

Food was good, little disappointed, ordered a chili hotdog, when it got to the table, there was more mayo for the dog than chili. That is what they are known for.. when did chili become a condiment? The cherry bourbon drink was amazing, fried mushrooms were huge. Salsa was yummy, does have a little kick, that might be more medium than mild. Family said the Mahi tacos were good too. Hubby says Mi beer cheese burger was phenomenal.

I use to love coming here growing up. Came back as an adult and it was mush. Chili tasted processed. I drove an hour just to eat there.. disappointing
