They were allowing a person to smoke a cigarette on their outdoor patio next to food. It was gross

Waiter, food, coffee, speed ambiance great. Difficult to find if no gps
GPS. Only 3 tables occupied and a guy at the bar, but he was loudly conversing on his phone the entire time and a group of 7 old ladies were exceedingly loud and cackling. Why do people have to be so damn Loud? This place would benefit from some noise abatement technology.

Review: Timbers Inn – Where the 80s Meet Exceptional Wine

I wasn’t sure what to expect pulling up to Timbers Inn—part restaurant, part time machine—but I left convinced it’s one of those rare places that manages to charm you into relaxation and feed you like royalty.

First off, the service. Our server was quick, kind, and somehow genuinely enthusiastic without sounding like a hostage to customer service protocol. She actually talked to us like real people—smiling, laughing, recommending things without a hint of dread behind the eyes. A rare and beautiful thing in today’s transactional dining world.

We sat outside, and I’m telling you—greenery for days. It felt like dining in a secret garden where nature respects your personal space. There was just enough foliage to feel private, but not enough to feel like you’re about to be ambushed by woodland creatures. Tranquil, peaceful, the kind of spot where you start wondering if maybe you should open a little restaurant one day.

Now the inside? That was a nostalgic trip in flannel. It had big “cozy 80s ski lodge” or “Black Bear Diner’s cooler cousin” energy. Wood paneling. Vintage vibes. Possibly a moose on the wall. I didn’t check, but I felt spiritually certain one was watching over the bar.

As for the food—delicious. Like, “eyes-closed-while-chewing” delicious. And the wine? Honestly, shockingly good. Like the grapes had been blessed by a sommelier monk in the hills of wherever good grapes come from.

Final verdict: Timbers Inn is where your stomach, your inner introvert, and your nostalgia can all kick back and feel understood. 10/10 would return—next time with even looser pants.

Nice laid back restaurant with a back country feel. Nice lunch of a walleye sandwich. Also had a nice hazy IPA. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there.

Ordered carry out for 8 people. Only complaint is that the Cesar salads were missing the dressing. Of course did not realize until we were all the way home.

Friendly staff!

The food is excellent, always! I’ll give the service a 5* review because Marsha is always great, but honestly, I’ve only been waited on by Marsha. Love the atmosphere, decorated like a hunting and fishing lodge, and the vibe is casual and inviting.

So this was my second time here.
I like this place. I really do. It looks cool, and the staff is solid, but the food has been underwhelming both times.
The visual is underwhelming, and it's just alright. I've had the Duck Burger and the Bison Burger, and there hasn't been anything memorable about either one. I
tried the chili, and it was the same vibe.
My kid got the pasta bake, and it was ok.
Considering the reputation this place has , I just expected more from the food in every way.🤷
Staff is great, and the place has a cool old school vibe like your grandparents' cabin in the 70s 80s lol. My kid loved that😉

It was not as quiet as usual because there was a large boisterous family group. But everything else was great as usual.
