Love the atmosphere and the bartender Amy was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about anything you might need. The beer is cold and the drinks are cheap. The only downside..and I mean only...is there isn't a billiard table. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a small local and family-owned and operated place to have a couple of drinks. “A friend and I stopped in to the Wings Bar & Grill inside the Wingate last night for a late dinner since my flight was delayed prior to going to the airport. This was a hidden gem of a find. The lady working the bar was very quick to greet us and ask for our drink order. She then returned with our drinks and menus. We placed our orders (2 separate orders of 10 wings), which was quickly delivered to us and were provided with well over 10 wings each (more like 14-15 wings).Friendly, fast, courteous, and clean. If you need to kill an hour or two before your flight out of DTW, this is a solid place to do it.Parking: Parking was somewhat tight, as it's mainly for hotel guests, but we were able to find a spot.“

“Great tavern/dive bar experience. Been a few times now and every time had a good experience.Drink prices are very fair and great selection of brews and cocktails. Standard ales and brews with some IPA's mixed in along with a variety of mixed cocktails including local specials.The food has always been on point. My absolute favorite so far has been a cup of clam chowder and plate of fresh fried fish and fries. Not fried in overused butter nasty oil. Light crispy white fish and hand cut seasoned fries were great with a Sam Adams.Also had good ol'e standard American cheeseburger and was very well made. Perfect grill patty with standard fixings was right on point. Wife has had salads along with a chicken wrap and I have to say all looked and according to her tasted as good as my meals.Always clean floors and atmosphere is welcoming. Plenty of screens to watch the game or just hang with friends. “Went in for lunchThere were 6 of us. We all had drinks and ate. The chicken wrap was delicious. Nice size sandwich. We ordered 2 hamburgers, which were also good size. We had the fried bologna sandwiches that were really good. The waitress was on the ball checking on us often. We will Definitely be going back.“
“On my way home from Detroit to Ann Arbor today I saw their sign that said “Best Burger Around””, so I decided to give them a try. They did not lie, the burger was flavor, juicy and quite large. Onion rings were meh. All in all, I left the place happy and, more importantly, full.“

“We stopped in when they opened for the day on a Saturday. The owners were so pleasant and inviting. We were so early that the soup of the day wasn't ready yet. We were in town for a weekend event, the owner said come back that night and soup was on him. We had our bloody marys (which were very good) and our lunch.Came back later that night for dinner and to enjoy the live music. The place was very busy, but we managed to get our same seats at the bar even though our party had doubled in size. The owner saw us and within a few minutes the soup was in front of us, we didn't have to say a word.The staff was very attentive despite the enormous crowd. The food was awesome again both in taste and volume.Ashley was behind the bar and was the hardest working bartender I have ever see and the smile never left her face.Great experience all the way around!“
“Wednesday evening we came in for dinner, a horrible waitress. When a large table of men came in, she completely forgot about us. We had to get up and ask for our bill, we tried to take it up and pay it, she raised her voice and said NO!! I will take it up. So much for getting anything extra we wanted. If we go back it will be taken out only.“
