Absolutely best ice cream in town! Such a cute hole in the wall place and they use gurnseys ice cream which is just incredible tasting, they have shakes and parfaits and and Sundays and floats! Would highly recommend!

Golden cone is the cutest mom and pop ice cream shop downtown royal oak. They are only open in the summer though. They use guernsey farms dairy so I feel good about shopping local, plus it's really high quality. I have been bummed because they used to carry my favorite flavor- peanut butter cookie dough and I haven't seen it in a while. I have been getting lavender honey in the meantime, which is good but miss my pb cookie dough!

Simply the best! The custard is amazing. I have to try to be disciplined and not go everyday, it's that good! The service is excellent and extremely friendly.It's always got a nice little vibe outside too. Always know summer is here when Golden Cone opens.

I can’t think of a single word to describe how absolutely superb the frozen yogurt here is.. but I can think of many: creamy, velvety, decadent, rich, indulgent, luscious, smooth, flavorsome, and heavenly I grew up in a city known as the frozen custard capital of the USA, Saint Louis, and I have yet to find any place that could rival the genuine frozen custard from there… until now. By the way, I am writing this while sitting in their parking lot. I had a large chocolate frozen custard malt and I couldn’t be happier. I feel so content. However, I can’t leave. I haven’t left and I am already craving more! I’m going yo get a cone to eat on my way home. EAT HERE! You will never find better?

What a very nice young lady that was working there this evening. She was so pleasant and helpful. I had the AUTHENTIC Dole Whip, which was great. I think you just need to make the machine a little colder so I could have it in a waffle cone, but it tasted just as good as the one at the Dole Plantation in Hawaii. Ironically, the young lady said she had just been to Hawaii and didn't go to the Dole Plantation! LOL. My wife and niece both loved their selections as well. I suggest that a military discount would bring in more military customers.
On a warm, sunny day you're walking down the street and see a few people standing in line for.. ICECREAM! I never knew this place was here.. but of course my toddler saw icecream & had a full on panic attack that could only be treated with chocolate chip cookie dough. The best part is there's a little outside window to order form or you can go inside. There's a few little tables and a bench nearby. They have both icecream and frozen yogurt. Loved it! Ambiance is cute and fun. Workers were really sweet too.

We've been looking for an authentic custard place as our old place has gone down hill and is nothing more than soft serve. Golden Cone is wonderful and our new favorite. Great custard and great service!! So glad we found you. Keep up the good work!!

This is our second time trying to get ice cream with our friends. They keep telling us how amazing it is. We were in line at 9:40 this time and they already had their "last ice cream" cup in the line. Maybe one day we will ya ethos delicious location.

4 out of the 6 times I’ve been here in the last month they run out of chocolate or vanilla hard ice cream. Very disappointing. So I’m done wasting my time driving here cause management doesn’t know how to have stock correctly. Their are plenty of other ice cream places close that taste great and have stock consistently.
