Best breakfast in the Detroit metro area. The hash browns and bacon were so nicely cooked. I got blueberry pancakes and my boyfriend got a veggie omelet. The owner is the kindest woman and really knows how to run a business. She’s hospitable and generous. Seems to know the customers well - they must be regulars. I felt at home in this unassuming breakfast spot. You would never expect it to be as good as it was, which is what we loved about it. You can’t beat how affordable...
This is a blue-collar diner. Good amount of delicious food for the cost, which has never been too expensive. Nothing fancy, but you get your order how you want it and you get it fast enough. It's Royal Oak.
Anywhere I go, I like to try various versions of double-patty burgers that even remotely resemble a Big Mac. And let me tell you, Monty's did not disappoint -- biggest patties on I've ever eaten. Toppings were straight up lettuce and American cheese with a few pickle slices.
