My fiance and I were visiting from NE Ohio for the day and stopped by!I called prior about their vegan options and how they prepare vegan sandwiches. I also asked about allergens such as peanuts, legumes, pea protein, etc. My fiance and I were impressed how careful they are with vegan sandwich preparation and cross-contamination. They handle everything separately and are very careful. My fiance has many food allergies, so we have to be careful! We also can’t eat out a lot because of this as well, so this was a treat for us. I was told on the phone since they serve vegan food “they have to do it right.”It was a first for both of us to eat vegan deli meat, and as a meat eater myself, I was impressed!If anyone is looking for vegan, allergen-conscious, and delicious sandwiches, this is the place to go. We will definitely be coming back when we visit the area❤️❤️❤️

Food quality is good, however, it's overpriced for a sub with thin slices (1-2) of vegan cheese and vegan protein. $14 is asking too much for 4 slices of cheese and small triangles of protein with a sprinkle of lettuce and pickles. Should be more generous for the big price.

Absolutely the best deli I've ever had. I'm vegetarian, and their plant based sandwiches are amazing to the point where I think about them often (especially the vegan reuben). I miss this place so much since moving out of the area.Vegetarian options: They have a lot of amazing vegetarian options. It's the best sandwich place I've ever had. I've never come across a deli with so many vegan meat options.

I love their vegan sandwiches. It’s difficult to find vegan deli sandwiches in Michigan for some reason…like we didn’t love subway or we didn’t love corned beef sandwiches but Oak House Deli didn’t forget about us. Sandwiches are reasonably priced and a good size. It’s customizable without having to pay all those extra fees just to substitute. I’m grateful for them! My only request would be gluten free and soy free options! That would be great!

Last year I spent 1200 on sandwiches from here! If that tells you anything- I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I live in Troy and now travel to royal oak anytime I’m craving a great sandwich!
Great place for sandwiches! I was in the area and stopped by and ordered the Italian. Wait was not long and the staff was very friendly. Was clean inside too. When I opened the sandwich, it looked great, tasted great too! I def recommend this place and will for certain go back for another

The freshest! Turkey avocado is insanely good. Ive had the vegan options when eating vegan for a period of time and they were equally as good! Always quality always fresh. Breads are top notch. The sides. Man the brocolli salad goes absolutely insane. Potato salad better then your granny. Go see these guys.

I can't say enough positive things about this place - why buy a sandwich anywhere else in Royal Oak?I can personally vouch for the following sandwiches, in order from most favorite to less-most favorite: Single Stack, Turkey Avocado, Turkey Reuben, Spicy Turkey Avocado.I've never had a bad sandwich here. Service is friendly and quick, and the prices are very reasonable. A staple of the area, IMO.There is no seating, so plan to get takeout or delivery. Parking is a little tight, but I've never had issues finding a spot.Parking: Street parking is free for the first 15 minutes if the lot is full.

I tried the vegan chn/orzo soup. It was very good. I also tried the vegan Ruben sandwich. I know it's very popular, but not my cup of tea. No offense to Oak House. I usually do not like many of the vegan meats. Everything was fresh. I ended up pulling the meat off and ate it that way. I will try other vegan options on the menu. Always looking for something new to grab for lunch.
