HORRIBLE service, NO COMPS after being served piss warm beer and FOOD WITH DEAD ANT …. Went with my dad, neither of us has been in a few years and we were looking forward to getting burgers before a show. he ordered a beer, she let us know they had to tap a new keg so it would just be a minute (no big deal) after waiting 10 min we received a piss warm beer. like, it was SO warm, we put ice from our water into the beer and ice melted almost instantly. i flagged down the waitress...read full review
Horrible dine in experience with the racist misogynistic waiter. I sent my daughter and my mother to eat there after an outing they had. The male waiter with a beard asked where they heard of the tavern and my daughter said her father recommended and that my mother was visiting. He proceeded to ask my mother if she spoke English. And then said that there was no problem if she did not because there were employees in the kitchen that did not speak English. Which is ridiculous because...read full review
Highly disappointed. My experience with the Royal Oak location was nothing less than disappointing. I ordered a salad online and my coworker picked it for me. Redcoat Tavern is a charming place that will transport you back to the 70s. The corned beef sandwich and burgers are amazing, and the onion rings are phenomenal. The dark lighting and vintage furniture add character to the ambiance. The portions are generous, and the food is delicious, with desserts being particularly noteworthy. The host is also accommodating and willing to make adjustments for customer comfort. With great food and attentive service, this restaurant is a must-visit for burger lovers looking for a memorable dining experience. Customers report the redcoat special burger is a delicious burger. The steak bites were good but the steak portion might have changed. Prices seem to have gone up a lot recently. The lighting has changed and is a lot brighter now. Booth seating is low and might be an issue for some. Service was not great on a recent visit, with drinks getting messed up and needing to wait for refills. However, other customers found the service to be good and the food tasty, with a good beer list.
