Food was all around pretty poor. Ordered the taphouse burger and it took about 30 minutes to come out when the restaurant was dead. It didn’t come with the wasabi slaw that it was supposed, and I let my server know and she said she’d go check on it. Never came back around to let me know about it and the food got cold waiting so I sent it back. Fries weren’t all that hot and entirely unseasoned too. For $18, I expect a bit more. Do not come here, there’s far better options in royal oak.

Service is absolutely terrible. Food is good once you get it. Sever just walks around and does nothing. Used to come here frequently…no longer going to waste my time sitting waiting!!!

It was okay, it would be terrible if it wasn’t for our amazing server Alex. She single handedly is the ONLY reason i’d come back. Three people in our party had something wrong with their good. One person asked for a southwest salad that was missing everything that made it SOUTHWEST, the kitchen refrained from informing our server until after we said something. Alex did her absolute best to be accommodating with little to no help from the kitchen staff. As someone who is directly connect to an educated chef, people like that shouldn’t be in the kitchen of a restaurant. 0 stars to the kitchen staff & 11/10 to Alex.

There's always only one or two people staffed for the whole house, and they do a phenomenal job.
Shame on the owners, though. Not cool to treat your employees like that.
Many good dishes, recommend!

Walked in today to have a nice dinner w my
Son today before he goes back to college. Hostess working today acted like she didn’t want to be there and when seated in the noisy bar area by two people being loud in an empty restaurant she said she didn’t know they had any other table. Promptly walked out. I see why this place is losing money. I won’t go back. It’s a shame. I used to love it here.

The most non responsive owners. Do not accept checks from this company.
They go by “pallis restaurants inc”. They will give you a bad check and never respond to you.

A below average place to grab a drink in downtown Royal Oak.

We came in on a Sunday afternoon about 3pm. We were looking for a drink and maybe something to eat.

The place was very quiet, possible less than 10 other patrons. We waited at the host stand to be seated as their sign said, after about 10 minutes with no one acknowledging our presence a kitten staff member said we can sit wherever we wanted.

We grabbed a table and once again, wwaited almost 10 minutes before being even acknowledged by anyone.

We ended up moving to the bar so we could at least get a drink. The bartender was nice enough but seemed very inexperienced.

The beer selection was good but my first glass was dirty which was troubleing.

Overall we weren't impressed thus far and decided to pass on anything else. We paid for our single drinks and went somewhere else to drink and grab food.

I don't know if they were just short staffed or if Sunday isn't a busy day for them, but the experience we had was really bad and I can't imagine we would be willing to come back and try again, not with the amount of options Royal Oak has.

Liked the lighting and televisions. Has an updated feel. Server was “cool”. Burger was solid, would order again, but for a $18 hamburger, expected more. Unfortunately, there was little to nobody there yet food took 30 minutes to come out. Little disappointed.
