Last night was my wife and my second visit to Johnnie's. We were very pleased with the food and the service. Our meals were well prepared with their own special twist on the preparation of the vegetables, their macaroni and cheese, and the meat as ordered. You should stop in the next time you are in the area, we will.

Must stop if you’re in the area and looking for a perch meal. Their fish was perfectly breaded, seasoned, and good size. I just wish I ordered more.
Plenty of beer options too! Bartender was really friendly and the food came out quick. Quite a few TVs to watch whatever game you’re feeling!

Me and a friend stopped here on the way through the UP. Good bartender and they have good cold tap beer mugs ( I think only $4 for a tall one).
We ordered at the bar. Each ordered pastrami sandwich. Couple minutes later were told there was no pastrami.
Looked at menu again and we both ordered whitefish dinner. Couple minutes later….. no whitefish.
Then also told preemptively that they also had no produce.
We both then ordered a Reuben. Very good sandwich with good meat.
Best part of the night was the half way drunk couple sitting next to me and the wife found his “cheating” texts on his phone and he was deleting fast before she saw more. lol

Finally! Good food in St Ignace. We have stayed in St Ignace many times, eaten at nearly every other restaurant and found them disappointing often giving even 1 star reviews and at best 3 stars. Therefore great to find a good one. The dinner side salads were huge and excellent. The NY steaks were reasonably good; the included grilled onions and mushrooms were a nice addition. French fries were excellent as were the onion rings. The French dip was better than average. Price was very modest, even on the low side. So skip all those disappointing restaurants after the road turns to head north and enjoy a good dinner here.

Way Over priced food, bland and tasteless food. Pickles were under cooked and over battered. Slow and infrequent service. Won't be back. Much better restaurants in town near the water.
Food was really good as was the service. We ordered the salmon and the patty melt and both were excellent. It was busy with one server working but she did a great job taking care of everyone.

Waitress’s are very friendly and do what they need to do and are on top of getting your order to getting your food out to you, however there was a party of 7 of us and our waitress had to bring our food out exact 4 times and the manager was a feet away and did not ask her if she needed help or anything!! The whole time me and my family were there the manager hung out at the bar to drink with customers and bounced from table to table. He does not seem to care to help the staff and all he wants to do is drink….

The food and waitress is fantastic, however the manager seems to do nothing but sit at the bar and drink with a lot with the customers while kitchen staff, waitress bust their ass. Never have been to a bar/restaurant and see the manager interact with customers by drinking and partying with them…

Food was good. The waitstaff was busting ass. While the so called manager either sat at the bar or stood at the bar drinking and partying with people that came in. He didn’t care that they were so busy!! He needs to go he’s not a manager he’s just there to hang out and party with his buddies
