Great food, drinks and service. It wasn't busy when we went, so I asked if they had a table with the view of the lake and we were lucky and got one. Beautiful view. We asked for recs and our server said their whitefish tacos were award winning. We started with spicy cucumber appetizer. The food was excellent and the salsa is next level. However, customer service needs a boost. Service at this place was pretty poor and we had to advocate for ourselves on getting seats, getting food done correctly (as dessert came out to us incorrectly and we asked for water three times) and our bill done correctly (as we were charged for two desserts). The front host was not helpful. While there we saw another family that was treated poorly and they walked out after being seated...
I live in Chicago and I was shocked how great this place is! The food was fantastic! The booths are very cute with an amazing attention to detail. I eat Mexican at least once a week in Chicago and I have 5 very favorite places, and Jose's Cantina is right up there with them. Plus they have Mexican Coke. My service was super fast. Waitress was winderful. Highly recommend!
