We enjoyed the Mackinac Grille and Patio while on vacation in the Upper Peninsula. We liked sitting on the patio with a great view of Lake Huron. This place has some of the most delicious fresh Whitefish I've ever tasted, but I had so much to eat while on vacation that it was time for me to have something slightly healthy for a change, so i did the unusually and ordered a salad. It was really good, but everything I tried there was delicious.

Traditional American fare with a Great Lakes twist. The food wasn't particularly innovative, but it was fresh and well-made. A good example of the type of food it was aiming for. Burgers, fresh fish, meatloaf, and other assorted classic comfort foods. The service was good, but rather slow, but it was the dinner rush, so that was forgivable. Nice place to eat after a day of travel and exploring. Clam chowder was good, and so were the salads. It's an interesting building - old but taken care of and clean. It's situated on the shore of Lake Huron and it's all beautiful!
