We spent a week in michigan’s UP. We had several different restaurants and stayed in several different motels. At Mackinac Grill and patio bar my wife and I both ordered different shrimp, entrées. The shrimp was prepared perfectly and well seasoned. The only reason I would probably not go back and eat there is strictly logistical reasons. If you’re in the area, you would not be disappointed. The menu had many options to chose from. They also have a nice little gift shop.
We both ordered whitefish entrees. Both good. Service lacked a bit. Our waitress was quiet and not engaging. Atmosphere was ok. Table was sticky. The place/people lacked passion for the business. Gift store was cute, lots of sales too.
My wife and I visited here over the weekend, and it was sooooo good!! Our server was super sweet, and the food was incredible. The whitefish cakes were amazing, and our entrees were delicious with huge portions. You gotta hit up Mackinac Grille, and their sister restaurant, The Wild Blueberry, if you’re in St. Ignace or anywhere close.
