I am a bit disappointed, I travel to the area for work several times a year and have always looked forward to stopping in. My last trip was no different. However, the outcome of our dinner was quite different. It seems there was much less beef & chicken this time and an overwhelming amount of potatoes. The flavor, in my opinion, has diminished, I've purched pasties from this location over the past 10years.
My partner and I stopped here twice, on our first night getting into the UP and our last day heading back south. Both times the service was great, everyone who works here is very nice. On the second trip we got pasty's, it was my partners first time have one, and they were sooo good. They were huge and I probably ate mine in two minuets flat. The gravy that comes with it is phenomenal. We will be stopping back here the next time we come up this way just for the food.
We never miss this place when visiting each summer. The beef pasties are our favorites! This year I tried the beef gravy with my pastie, ramped it up more notches!! Friendly & helpful staff and we took frozen pasties back home with us after our Michigan visiting!! Coming here is like going home to us!!
