This was our first visit to 221 since the redesign. My wife and I have enjoyed cocktails on their rooftop terrace many times, and their cocktails are of the best in the area. If you are a whiskey aficionado, 221 has the most robust selection of whiskeys for 45 miles, the kind of selection I would expect from a whiskey bar in a major city. We joined another couple to celebrate a birthday and we were disappointed. We had not been seated "bar area" before and it wasn't the experience we were looking for. The tables are too close together and the hostess filled them without gaps. The table beside us was in line with ours and so close it was hard to not feel like we were all together. We have gone to 221 Main a few times and have never been disappointed. Food and service has always been prompt and delicious. Husband and I went here last for our anniversary. It was a lovely evening. Crème Brûlée was so good!!
