The food tasted very good, but there were maybe a dozen tiny strips of chicken in my entire container of Moo Shu Chicken, so I'm rather underwhelmed in that respect.
We tried this place on a whim and the whole family raved about their choices. Notably, the vegetables were fresh, and crisp, the meats were incredibly tender and perfectly cooked, the flavors were wonderful. You could tell that the fried items were not cooked in old oil - they were crispy with no aftertaste. The owners were pleasant and welcoming. Can’t say a negative thing about it and I anticipate being regular customers.
In the past I've experienced tough chewy chicken with the General Tso's chicken. I have discovered that it was due to over frying the chicken. Especially smaller pieces which cook faster in the hot oil. This is just physics. So I gave them another chance.
I have to say, that was the best General Tso's chicken I've ever had! Very tender, and full of amazing flavor.
I highly recommend giving New China another chance.
