“I've never had a bad meal here. We've eaten here on and off for the last decade, and it's been always consistently good. The only thing is the fried rice my husband doesn't care for. But all the other entrees, appetizers, soup, and everything else we've had is really good. Also, hands down they have the best crab rangoons in the area.“

“Called in by phone to place an order. Employee was patient and we worked together to understand one another over the phone, despite bad connection and their accent. The food was ready in 15 minutes. We were pleased with portion sizes- two dinner combos lasted us five portions (adult m and f, may be less if you eat more per meal). The chicken was perfectly crispy and the egg roll was delicious. I waited a few days to review to report on whether or not the food made us sick, as this is a frequent problem we’ve had with some Asian food places. We did not experience any problems from the food here. Will definitely choose this place when we want to satisfy our craving for a Chinese meal.“

“This was a really great experience. Delicious, warm, veggie based soup with fantastic homemade noodles. I can't have red meat, which can make it hard to find alternatives to beef broth, they did amazingly on the vegetarian soup base.
Great service, fast, kind, friendly, helpful. They gave me a little extra broth for my take away. The shrimp and chicken dumplings had whole shrimp in them and tasted like they were just made.
Thanks for a wonderful experience!“

“When we lived in Ypsi, this was our go to place for Chinese food. Best Mongolian beef. We always order Mongolian beef, pork lo mein, pork sweet and sour, general tsao chicken, and fried rice. Give them a try.
They are very good with allergies as well.“

“This is easily the best Chinese food takeout in the area. It’s consistently on-time, delicious, with huge portions at an affordable price. I haven’t found something I don’t like at Happy Wok! I love going here, it’s our favorite takeout place. We always get the General Tso Chicken, the sweet and sour chicken, and the crab rangoons. I highly recommend!
Parking: Right in front of the restaurant, many spots, easy to find & free“

“Impressed with the experience I had here. Food came out fast and hot, the atmosphere was nice, our waitress Brooke was very personable. Great to see this location improving. Would definitely go back my experience was a 5/5 and I loved the employee and how they stay on top of refills for all their tables. I recommend this restaurant to friends and family because I loves the experience and environment in this location.“

“Bao space is my one true love. Never had a bad bao here. Food is yummy, atmosphere is chill. Can be a bit cramped when very busy but I’ve found that doesn’t happen often. Their lemon water is so good. Small drink selection but the water is so good that I never order a drink. The shrimp bao is my favorite!“

“Great food every time! The crab Rangoons are the best I've had from any of the Chinese restaurants in the area.
Vegetarian options: Vegetable Lo Mein is very good, you can also get some of the dishes with bean curd (tofu basically) instead of meat.
Parking: Easy parking for a quick in and out pick up.“

“My husband and I ordered from here for dinner. All our food was perfect. They even added more vegetables to my orange tofu. Which was really nice. The owner is so sweet. She'll give you a hug and say I love you before you leave. Give this place a try if you haven't yet. Oh and the prices are pretty reasonable and you get big portions. They also called to see how our food was. We've never had that happen before so that was very nice.“

“I have eaten at many Chinese restaurants in Ann Arbor and this is the best. I had Mongolian Beef and my husband had Sweet and sour chicken. We shared each other’s dish. Plenty of food and reasonably priced. I’m definitely going back! The owners are very nice.“

“This place is my main place to eat in Ann Arbor. There’s just something that you have to love about fresh noodles and appropriately balanced flavors that just soothes one’s soul, and Lan City Noodle Bar definitely hits that spot.
I like the variety of flavors, noodles, and small plates. Many dishes go well together and I end up getting different combinations each time I go (though my son prefers the dumplings always).
Very straightforward and outgoing ladies have taken my order every time I’ve been there, and explained the system for picking up your food. Things can stagger when they come out, so the best bet if you are really hungry may just be to order more (we generally order 4-6 items so something usually comes out quick).
Love this place, don’t change, and keep the wings spicy!“

“My go-to for chinese. Always ready and always hot. I appreciate that the veggies are fresh and not overcooked to moosh. IlThe following is the lunch combo #1 with house special lomein instead of rice. Slight upcharge but worth it. General Tso's chicken isn't overly spicy compared to others. Thanks“

“I love this place. The food is great and for a good price. The Spring Rolls specifically are amazing. I don’t think I’ve had to wait more than 10-15 minutes after placing an orderWhenever I feel stressed or sad I go here. The vibe of the restaurant is very homey. It’s a very welcoming feeling that I appreciate because not many restaurants have this nowadays. The person who works the front is very kind and definItely helps contribute to the overall atmosphere.
Parking: Ample parking no matter what time you go“

“The food is good most times. . . Sometimes the flavor is off on certain entrees. But overall the food is good. . . The manger has a hard time exemplifying a higher level of customer service. . . She treats all callers the same. Sometimes I believe she goes into autopilot - meaning she will not say good bye have a nice day. She treats everyone the same. That is not good for business at all. We all have to change our personalities on how we treat each other. We cannot treat everyone the same and expect to prosper. . . Signing off. . . Thank you!“

“Surprised at how tasty the Moo Shu, cold sesame noodles and hot and sour soups was—just excellent. Fast take out service! They were a little too excited to get an extra $2 for extra wrappers which seemed over the top on a huge take out order… but whatever. I will get take out again for sure! Oh, and lots of Chinese people were enjoying dinner as groups of students and family groups, so that always says a lot toward authentic cuisine!“

“Went here for lunch the other day and ordered “Spicy Duck” off the authentic menu. The dish was delicious by the bone-in duck was chopped in a most unusual manner which made it very difficult to eat. I do prefer more authentic Chinese food to the Americanized versions so next time I order a new (to me) dish I will make sure to discuss the preparation with the server before ordering.“

“Make sure you ask for the other menu and order things that white people do not normally order. You will not be disappointed. The only thing I don’t like is the forced 18% gratuity that is automatically added onto your bill. This breaks off rules of what a tip is supposed to be.“

“Joyful House is just great. Always the best food. I skip past three other Chinese places (that I’ve already tested) to go here. The family loves it! The lemon chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken fried rice, pork dumplings, egg rolls, and crab Rangoon are all delicious. I ate most of the dumplings before I remembered to take a picture of them, LOL.“
