“Always great service, clean food, great quality. Very clean inside and parking lot. I have nothing negative to say. I've been a year long customer and go atleast once a month. You cannot get better chinese food. And it's very decently priced. If you have the image of Chinese food using horrible quality meats... this restaurant will be sure to change your mind about that.Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options including all the main meat options but making it veggie instead. You can choose between veggie. Beef. Chicken, shrimp and pork for almost every menu item which is great and very convenientDietary restrictions: Make sure to let them know. The menu is large so there is many items to choose from for everyone. They take allergies very seriously as well. Just make sure to bring it to the attention of the staff.Parking: Parking upfront and ALOT OF PARKING IN THE BACK LOT RIGHT BEHIND THE BUILDING. You access it from the side of the restaurant thru the front parking areaKid-friendliness: Booths for comfort and high chairs if needed.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs. Large entry ways. Plenty of space between tables to comfortably park a wheelchair“
“This is my 2nd time here. I have to say, their chicken and broccoli is THE best I've ever had. The broccoli is tender crisp, not mushy. The flavor was spot on. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I've also tried their chicken egg foo yung and crab rangoon...very good. I will be going “
“Thought I'd give this place a try, did not dissappoint! Got a large order of honey chicken. It was smothered in a thick, hearty, delicious, sweet sauce. I couldn't finish it at first, it was so filling, but a little bit later, it was all gone ? will definitely be back next time I'm craving chinese food!!“
“Wonderful little place with fantastic food. We had the Korean fried chicken, scallion pancakes, fried spring rolls and steamed dumplings (yeah, I know we pigged out a little). Sorry, I always forget to take a picture before starting to eat. Everything was delicious The bathrooms are also very clean. We don’t live close, but I’ll definitely make sure we stop here next time we’re in the area.“
“Beef Noodle is very authentic southern Chinese flavor! Noodle has a very nice texture and sauce has very sophisticated Chinese touch. Anyone wants to have an authentic Chinese food experience should try it out. Owner is like a passionate food scientist and always improving and fine tuning its flavor!“
“Today was the first visit for my husband and I, bc our regular takeout is closed for remodeling. Wow I'm glad they were. What a difference! Great sweet n sour chicken, General Tsos chicken, Crab Rangoon and egg roll with bean sprouts and not stuffed with cabbage. We highly “
“Ordered take-away: Szechuan Chicken dinner. The chicken meat looked like good quality from first glance, same for the vegetables and it was much better than the Chineese place by my house. The dinner was a Styrofoam container full of food, 2 scoops of chicken fried rice, was enough for 3 people to have a bowl which really hit the spot. We ordered it spicy and it was indeed spicy with a good amount of gravy sauce. Fantastic food and value will be coming back soon!“
“Looking for a Chinese food place and ended up finding this gem.Hibachi, sushi, Chinese. It’s great for the price, close and they seem to do allot of Togo orders. We ordered the bento box, bang bang chicken, Alaskan roll, the steak and lobster hibachi, gyoza, spring roll, and a crunchy crab roll. And they give you good sized portions.Everything tasted great, food was tender and flavorful. The wait staff are super friendly and cute. Will definitely be coming back. Great place to eat.The atmosphere isn’t extravagant, simple and convenient.“
“Best Chinese carryout around! Family owned too with friendly host! Best Spring Rolls and amazing chicken fried rice which is my personal fav! But everything is great! Generous portions and hours of operation are accommodating as well.Dietary restrictions: My daughter is gluten-free and many options are no problem!“
“This was my 2nd takeout, and it was really good. I called 20 minutes before closing, and they still took my order. They got everything right, and the food was still hot when I got home. I love their shrimp low mien. I really have no complaints.“
“I only got a takeout order which is usually a two minute interaction with no impression, but Carson, the person working at the carryout counter, was phenomenal at his job. It appeared like he had approx. twelve million orders, but still made time somehow to chat and ensure good service. He's a great asset to your business! It's hard to find good workers, and he encapsulated the meaning of a good worker tonight. Give him a raise ASAP!“
“Definitely would say this is the best chinese restaraunt to go to around the Wyandotte/Southgate area. This is ran by a very nice family along with they have the best portions and prices in town. This will be my number one go to for now on. ?“
“Extremely friendly, never short on the food, the best Chinese I’ve had in Taylor. They are very prompt on pickup times, and when I ask to leave a tip, he just said come back(Tom) and gave a fist bump, a great place to eat and give business. A 10 to to me has been for a few years “
“Everybody reading this probably has their own favorite Chinese restaurant. China Gate has been around for a long time and it is always great. My cashew chicken had fresh veggies, big mushrooms (hate them, wife eats them for me) and a LOT of big cashew pieces. And the eggrolls are the best part. I do not know what they make them with, but it is a food I crave. Reasonable prices and large portions. Dont change a thing!!“
“This is a cozy little restaurant most people might not glance at twice. But it was a great experience. The service was wonderful, the food delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. My fiancé and I tried a variety of things, and were not disappointed. We definitely will be returning here again.“
“I will definitely order from China Gold again! Spectacular food! Very reasonable prices! Fast service! Had a little trouble with communication, but, that just added to the authenticity of this restaurant. I want to try everything on their menu!“
“This quiet, simple place is tucked into the corner of the strip mall. We thought it was connected to the sushi place. The seating is fine.Vegetarian options: There is at least one vegetarian dish, along with vegetarian option for egg roll and soup.“
“The Pad Thai reminds me of Thailand. which is the only place I’ve had Thai food so it’s hard finding the same taste here ..but this one is hard to beat. I didn’t get a fortune cookie but I’ll take that to mean I’m on the right path lol..“
“A really surprisingly good restaurant. From the egg drop soup with crispy fried noodles to the crunchy and tasty crab meat rangoons everything was delicious. I had the beef with peapods and mushrooms and though I am a big eater it was too large a portion for me to finish.Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian options on the menuParking: The parking lot has just been repaved with an entrance in front and an exit in back so you don't have to try to turn around in the parking lotWheelchair accessibility: It looks like they have just repaved the parking lot and added a handicap ramp“
“Our family had been going here for the last 40 years until everyone moved out of the area. Ignore the decor, which hasn’t changed much since we first started going there. The egg rolls and beef fried rice are among the best we’ve ever had.“
“This is an excellent little Chinese place. Not really made for eating inside, small and pretty dingey, but I'm pretty sure you could if you really wanted to. It seems like 95% percent of people order take-out including myself. I usually get chicken and broccoli with the shrimp fried rice and some egg/spring rolls with some egg drop soup and its always hot, even when I get home. The food is fresh tasting, they never skimp you on the ingredients and in fact, give you as much as they can or more. I definitely recommend this Chinese restaurant.“
“Delicious food with huge portion sizes. Got the sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, egg rolls, dumplings, and crab rangoon. No complaints about any of it! The egg rolls were crunchy and delicious and the fried rice had a nice flavor. This will definitely be my go-to spot for Chinese food.“
“Excellent all around. Delicious food, generous portions, fair pricing, friendly staff. The breading on the chicken is much lighter than any other place, which I prefer. It's always fully cooked but not tough. Fried rice is very different from others but again is better, and includes lots of chicken as well. My favorite ever Chinese restaurant.“
“The staples of all GOOD American Chinese takeout spots!! You can tell the fryer is clean and the sauces are F-ing delicious! Nothing over the top fancy, but damn good consistent flavoring. Well worth their great prices!!!! Sweet Sour Chicken = On Point!“
“We bounce back and forth between Pan Pan and Dale Yees. I personally prefer the Lo Mein at PanPan so whenever I want that, we go here. Very good portions and always fresh and yummy. Quality of chicken is excellent in their chicken dishes also!“
“First time customer, will be back!! Placed an order via their platform to have delivered. The driver contacted me upon arrival to let me know food was here, I loved that! The food smelt amazing and looked amazing!! It was beyond delicious, almond chicken was crispy, golden brown, general Tao was good and spicy very spicy, the fried dumplings and the sauce was my favorite!! The brown gravy could be better but all in all this meal was the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time!“
“I go here pretty often and I always get the sweet and sour combo. Everyone here is always so nice and the food is always a quick fix for comfort food! I love coming here!Parking: Parking is easy to find unless they’re busy! Even then, they’re always super quick so no one stays for long.“
“Not familiar with Michigan Chinese food as I’m not from here but stopped by this place and it is a gem. Food is decently priced, you can tell the orange chicken was freshly battered and we even received free soup on a snowy day. The man at the register was very friendly. Definitely recommend.“
“This is the BEST Chinese food I’ve tasted in a while!! I’m always trying to find a Chinese place with the type of rice I like and I finally found it! Almond chicken is so juicy and crispy and it has some type of seasoning on top that taste so good! Also reasonable price for 2 people!Parking: It’s in a little strip mall but it has some parking“
“My daughter, my mom, and I visit this restaurant monthly. It is 1 of the best Chinese food in the area and the waitresses are extremely friendly. My favorite dishes are the pepper steak, the Hong Kong Inn special, and of course almond chicken. Tried egg foo young for the first time today, and it was delicious! My new favorite is yang chow rice!“
“Very nice people! The food was excellent and fresh. I recommend the chicken Egg Foo Young and the General Tso’s chicken. The egg rolls remind me of a smaller version I had as a kid from my favorite place at the time…..delicious! ? I should have taken the picture before I ate one of the patties, but I couldn’t resist.“
“If you're questioning whether to go to lums or not Don't, just go, nowhere else compares to their quality and quantity of food. Never been disappointed with the food here, customer service is great, service is extremely fast. No other resturant holds a candle to Lums.“
“I wish I had pictures, but we started eating too quickly! All of our food tasted fresh like it was made to order. My husband loved the dumplings with a noticeable fresh ginger taste. We both loved the General Tsos chicken and the portions are huge! We will both have leftovers tomorrow from one dinner. We will definitely be back.“
“I haven't been to PF in years, and I’m so glad I recently went. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was too. The service was very quick and my server Danielle was extremely knowledgeable of the menu. Everything she recommended was great. This will definitely be my new go to spot. Some of my favorites were the rising dragon drink, dynamite roll, the calamari & the Mongolian beef :)“
“I use to live close by a few years ago and the food was always good and reasonably priced and they stay open later than most. Went back there because the only place that I had found where I live now, and the Chinese food was really good, closed down shortly after covid. Just disappointed that they haven't upgraded their payment system to accept anything other than cash. I had to stop by the ? on the way.“
“What a wonderful hidden gem. If you are in the Dearborn/Dearborn Hgts area and craving either Thai or Chinese you HAVE to try Delish Asian Cuisine at Ford Rd & Telegraph. A nice quint atmosphere, amazing foods, great drinks, and the customer service provided by the staff is outstanding. We have been numerous times, and left pleased every time.“
“We had moved to Canton from Troy about 6 years ago and we have not been able to find a local take-out restaurant that offers authentic and traditional Chinese dishes until we tried their food in the traditional section of the menu! Although not as good as Chinese food offered in the Toronto area the taste and the quality is comparable to what you would get in more authentic Chinese restaurants in Troy! Their traditional Chinese menu is a little over priced but this will be our ONLY local go-to restaurant for authentic (Not-Americanized) Chinese take-outs. Keep up the good work!!“
“They have great service with gentlemen that take orders. The egg rolls are the best. Most places egg rolls taste same as spring rolls, there is a difference between theirs and others. Food is hot always. Tried a chicken dish but ìt was a bit chewy and not the normal quality. However, I prefer them overall agaibdt 4 other place on a different side if town.“
“Very small restaurant serving authentic Shanghai-style Chinese food including some dim sum items on weekend afternoons. Make sure to ask for the Chinese menu (which has both Mandarin and English labels) not the very limited American-style menu.Slight extra charge for using a credit card.“
“I've been spit on in the lobby of Rikshaw house by homeless. There's maybe no roof? When it's raining outside, it'll rain on you inside, too. I still come back for the food. Here's the deal: Chinese food sucks at most places, you have to find what you like best and go there for only that thing. Rikshaw has the best chicken pieces AND the best sauce flavor and texture for their chicken dishes. The prices make me feel like I'm still getting "too much food" for what I pay and that's important when other options are twice the cost for something with no leftovers. They used to be cash only but take card now.VIP dish: General's Chicken - it's more savory and has tons of onions.Honorable mention: Beef & Broccoli or Special Lo Mein (all meats)If you get Shrimp fried rice, get it with extra green onions and a side of gravy.Parking: Probably some nails and glass in the parking lot. Good thing you're used to it in Detroit.“
“Heard about this place from a man who dialed the wrong number. He was praising this restaurant. I thought to myself let me try it out too. I went today tried their sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken. It was good they actually have chicken breast as their meat. The sweet and sour reminds me of Jet King that's no longer in business. Give them a try. It's a small place and entrance in the back way. I'll come back to try other dishes“
“We ordered a couple of dishes for a family gathering; from chicken egg rolls, to soups, to Singapore chicken noodles, to hot and sour chicken, to sesame chicken, and everybody loved what they ordered. For the number of dishes bought and the amount of food per dish, the pricing was great too! Absolutely recommend.“
“Tbh I just looked at the photos and didn’t even pay attention to the reviews which then made me nervous after I order but here is my experience…- the food was really good & heavy w/ large portions- the service my fast- the ordering room was filthy and needs deep cleaning- There were two little older ladies cooking who may or may not have work gloves and that made me nervousAt the end of the day. I just prayed over the food in hopes that it will be fine and it was. If they were to be much better in their cleanliness of their restaurant I would likely come back.“
“I really love this place at the price they give you a lot of food and the lady at the register is always so nice. The only reason I gave the food a 4 out of 5 stars is because I feel like the rice they serve with they’re meals is pretty flavorless but once I mix a little yum yum save with everything the food taste pretty good other than that I love this place. I’d recommend the chicken teriyaki to anyone and it’s only 7.45$“
“I’m thankful I didn’t pay attention to the negative reviews - We had some of the best General Tao chicken in a long time- It was crisp ( 10 minute drive home), medium bite sized pieces ( not huge chunks), perfectly sauced, extra sauce, no broccoli and medium heat, as I requested! So many places make this dish so flat tasting-Fried rice was tasty and came as part of the combo- The egg roll was the only yuck! Greasy, over cooked, and weird tasting fillings- ( gray inside)- Crab Rangoon was perfect! The prices were very fair for quantity and quality -We plan to return soon“
“All chinese restaurants are not equal. This one did not disapoint. The food is prepared as if they care, and taste good. Details matter like a light and crispy, and well stuffed crab rangoon just to mention one small thing !Friendly and courteous service makes the wait easier, i recommend calling ahead people like them“
“Today I tried this restaurant for the 1st time. It is Delicious!!!! The portion sizes are 1 1/2 times bigger than other places. The staff was polite. The service was fast. I will be dining here again. Will highly recommending this place.Vegetarian options: Crab ragoon, egg rolls, egg foo young patties all were scrumptious as well.“
“Love this place! The food is excellent and they are very nice and accommodating--we got there 20 minutes before they opened one day and they waved us right in after spotting us in parking lot. The shrimp fried rice is the best I have ever had. Hot and sour soup is very tasty! If you are looking for a nice quiet place with really great Chinese food at affordable prices this is it.?“
