Thai City has always been and still is our favorite! We lived in Westalnd for 29 years and moved up north. Anytime we go downstate, we order carryout! When our kids visit, they get carryout for us! I wish there was a Thai City near us. We're 2 1/2 hours north of Westland now.
I gave this place a try because of the Google reviews. I chose Thai Fried Rice. The rice was good and the chicken didn’t have that weird taste when I reheated it. The small portion is probably enough for 2 people. Even if you are hungry. I would definitely give them a try. The restaurant was carry out only when I went there. I would call ahead if I was thinking of dining in.

Thai City offers a great variety of flavorful dishes, from Thai fried rice to red pork curry. The Pad Thai is a standout, reminiscent of authentic Thai flavors. While the restaurant now operates as takeout only, it continues to provide generous portions and considerate service, with a nice, clean interior. The Smokey Lo Mein is praised for its fresh veggies, while the fried rice has a spicy kick packed with chicken and sweet grilled onions. Though some dishes like the yellow curry may be spicier, others like the sesame chicken impress with taste and crunch. The Thai Peanut Curry is highly recommended, as well as both styles of Coconut soup. Despite some minor texture issues with the pork curry, overall, Thai City remains a satisfying spot for Chinese-Thai cuisine, earning a solid 4-star rating.
