“Everyone liked what they got. I prefer the Pad Thai to have crushed peanuts and a bit more saucy but still pretty good. Wife was happy the pad thai wasn't too sweet. Egg and spring rolls were typical. Sesame chicken was solid. Veg beef was good. Good size portions ensure you can get another meal out of it.“

“The experience at the location in Detroit dis not start off well due to a disrespectful, angry, short tempered hostess. When we did not want the seating she was trying to give us and preferred to wait. She shouted out multiple times that she could guarantee it would be 15 to 20 minutes and no sooner. She asked me for my name in a raised tone when I told her clearly she exhaled and asked it again. The Manger was called and took care of everything. The server James made our out of town experience the best it ould be and I personally thank him.“

“Came here this past Sunday night on a once in a blue moon date. Hubby took me out for my birthday, we had reservations at benihana around the corner. Went there ordered and we're very disappointed with literally everything. Left there and went to PF changs. The atmosphere was quiet romantic and laid back. The service was so very professional. Ryan took care of us and we got the dinner for 2. He was very patient and explained everything so we understood what we were getting in the deal. The food was AMAZING. This is my husband's favorite restaurant and we live near the partridge creek location however the past few times hasn't been that great. This location at the FairLane Shopping Center is the best in the city! They reeled me back in to want to frequent the restaurant more, and showed me what I've been missing. I hope the other locations can bring themselves back up to the Dearborn standards. Everything was so perfect and cooked excellent. The flavor in the sesame salad was to die for! The lettuce wraps were extra fresh and superb quality (even nearing closing time). The entrees were prepared perfect with the right amount of flavor and the meat was so tender. Everything was wonderful and I wish I lived closer to this location because I just don't think the others can top the service here. “Authentic Chinese food, authentic Sichuan cuisine. Is it the best out there, probably not, but better than a lot of other popular Chinese restaurant in metro Detroit. The have American Chinese food items too so everyone can enjoy what they like. Food is great, everything we order is on point, except for the dried fish. I think if the stove is hotter and the pan has a higher temperature, the fish and the spices (garlic, chillis) will be less soggy.“

“I love the Gung Bo Shrimp. My brother first discovered this place back in the 1990s. My girlfriend likes the food too and often orders beef fried rice, which she likes. Very friendly people there, but I think I've only eaten there in person twice, so I gave a three stars for atmosphere. I am just neutral on the atmosphere because I don't have much experience.“

“Came here twice this week I've been meaning to try this place for some time! I had a failed meal prep and didn't have much time so this place definitely fit the bill. They were a little over the time that they quoted for pick up which was 20 minutes but that's OK because I'd rather my food be hot and still being cooked and sitting there getting cold for time passing. The staff is very friendly. I don't know why people have been saying they aren't. The place is a little bit older but what can you expect? It's a great Chinese place. You're there for the food not the decor and also it's pretty much a carryout place considering there is only a couple tables to begin with Not really much of a dining room. I had ordered beef egg, foo young lunch portion for both days and both portions were the same and cooked with fresh ingredients. The portions are massive even for lunch. “Among the mediocre chinese restaurants in these parts, CW is a standout. Food is good or better. You can count on a level of quality. Egg rolls are very good, cabbage. “I have been looking for an actual "good" Chinese take out. As most Chinese in the Royal oak, Ferndale, Oak park area are bellow average bland Chinese. I got word that Madison heights has some great Chinese spots so I gave Chao Zhou a chance and I was immediately hooked. You can taste the quality in this food.

Chao Zhou sticks out from the rest and is something I can definitely recommend people try. Probably the best General Tao's chicken I've had in a long time. The Singapore noodles was another stand out option that I also loved.

I recently visited this restaurant, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The food is authentic, fresh, and healthy, which is so hard to find these days. Every dish reminded me of the flavors and warmth of home back in China. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and the dishes are made with care and attention to detail. From the rich flavors to the comforting atmosphere, this place is an absolute gem. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone craving real, wholesome Chinese food. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The soup was on the lower end of hot and sour soups I've had. If I return to this place, I wouldn't order it again. The General Tso's, however, was excellent. It wasn't groundbreaking, or especially unique, but it was delicious. The quantity bolstered the enjoyment- one could easily get two meals out of it as I did. I rarely order fried rice, but this place served excellent fried rice.

The service was excellent. It was quick, efficient, and pleasant. The lady who took my order was very nice, and I had my food within 15 minutes.

The atmosphere wasn't anything to write home about, it was a hole-in-the wall carry out restaurant, but it did its job.“

Went back there because the only place that I had found where I live now, and the Chinese food was really good, closed down shortly after covid. “I ordered over the phone by searching through a recommendation of my sister-in-law. She said the food was always hot and done fast, which she was correct with that. The food was extremely hot. It took me 15 minutes to get there from my house and 15 minutes back, and the food was still Burning hot when I called the woman on the phone. I could barely hear her and asked to repeat herself a few times, just because I couldn’t heat her when I got inside. My food was already done. I paid the interaction with the woman at the counter which then again she talked very low and seemed monotone like I couldn’t hear her very well. The whole transaction was quick. I did not see really anywhere to sit and if there was there was maybe one or two tables That I could remember there are some chairs directly at the front door to sit to wait for your food I had ordered shrimp, lo mein, and pork and rice. And a vegetable roll, which I was not honestly crazy about the vegetable roll. I felt like it lacked seasoning. Everything else was very good tasting. I had no complaints. Otherwise I did not like that neighborhood or maybe area that this market was situated in the service was fast, but it kind of seemed like she didn’t want to be there overall the experience was good.

Parking: Parking spaces were very tiny I have an suv I felt like I was going to hit somes car pulling in the space and opening door also when you back up if you park directly at the front door, I feel like it’s very close to car that are parked directly and back of you“

“I personally am very picky with my Chinese food but I’ve never had a problem here. I always ask for my food to be cooked fresh and they never give me a problem. Best shrimp egg rolls. I love they still use bean sprout. My only downfall is not being able to pay with my card. I hardly carry cash“

“I’ve been trying to find good Chinese food for a few years now. I live downtown on Jefferson and I don’t like the 2 located near Belle Isle.

I only ordered shrimp fried rice because I didn’t want to be disappointed.

My fried rice was perfect. The rice was a tad bit chewy but it had a great flavor which tells me it was made in a well seasoned wok. The shrimp actually had a little flavor to them. Most places the shrimp just taste boiled. I love egg foo young so I’ll be back to try that next time“
