Chao Zhou Restaurant Reviews
First time here, and loved it! Beautiful beef and mushrooms with a side of rice. Good flavors, nice crunch on the veggies. Great Jasmine tea. Fast service. Cant ask for anything more from a small chinese food spot❤❤
Great food, great service, friendly and attentive waitress!! Been a long time since I had really good Chinese food. It was our first time there and this is definitely our new favorite.
Ordered General Tao Chicken, Szechuan Chicken & Egg Drop Soup. Came with egg rolls and fried rice. Large portions and brought home leftovers. Small family owned place with great food. Always love supporting a small business.
You know the food is good when there’s a bunch of Asian aunties and uncles with Teslas and Lexus parked in the lot and the one server who works from opening till close never cracks a smile. You also have to wait 45mins till over an hour sometimes. Nevertheless, you can expect consistency and quality for SouthEast Michigan.

Chao Zhou Restaurant offers authentic and delicious Chinese dishes, highly praised by Chinese clientele. While the service may sometimes be slow, the attentive staff try to meet customers’ needs. The atmosphere is just okay, not exceptional but not the worst either. The restaurant mainly has Chinese people dining there, which is a good sign that the food is probably actually decent. The food is the best part—dishes like Har Kow and Beef Lo Mein receive positive reviews, and the portions are huge, often enough to take home leftovers. Customers enjoy dishes such as pork bao buns, fried rice, and orange chicken, which are considered tasty and satisfying. The ginger scallion beef is tender and flavorful, and the restaurant’s prices are great for the generous portions. Overall, it remains a decent Chinese restaurant, offering a taste of authentic Cantonese cuisine in Michigan.
