Definitely a popular local spot. Large restaurant and we had to wait 54 minutes on a Friday night. Reservations recommended. Anyway their Large salad with goat cheese, cranberries was very good. My wife and I split the salad. I selected the Walleye entree, but the end result was something you would get at a fast food joint. Disappointing. My wife had the perch entree, better than the walleye but certainly not the best perch we have ever had. Perhaps we should have selected a burger. Most likely we will never return.

Food was delicious. I love my custom made mushroom, Swiss burger they make for me. Have been going to The Butler since 1979 every summer and spring. The waitstaff is accommodating and friendly. The Butler has always been my go-to restaurant in Saugatuck! They always make me feel at home.

So happy we came to The Butler! We had just previously left a horrible bar and were looking for a nice place to have lunch. Boy did we strike gold!Tiana was our server and was awesome. She was so kind and made our entire experience so pleasant. Completely turned our day around!The manager brought out our appetizer and checked on us. Even the host stopped by.It was so cool to feel like you got to meet everyone working and that customer service was a big deal for The Butler. We will definitely be coming back!

I was on a solo vacation and wandered in to the Butler on Thursday afternoon. The restaurant is very warm and inviting, the staff was very attentive and the food inventive. Recommended for an easy experience

Good money in the summer and a lot of overtime, but in the winter, they cut most your hours, and in order to lay off everyone, they won't give you 10 hours a week in the winter. In the winter time you'd make more money working at a walmart then you would in the winter working at the butler. My mother and my brother were told that their hours wouldn't be affected because they were part-time workers. My mother and brother were laid off. Also, I wouldn’t recommend working there if you are looking for something consistent, management is a joke there. Final but least, They do have a hiring event coming up in April But Kim told chef they don’t want me coming back until June.Only giving 2 stars cause dishwasher Ryan washes dishes like a champ, his skills are a 5/5

We love The Butler. The staff, location and food are just wonderful. Andrew, at the bar, is always a pleasure to talk to. We look forward to every visit and will be back there this weekend. The Buffalo Shrimp and their pizzas are a favorite of ours.
