My wife and I celebrated my 66th birthday here today. The chicken dinner was amazingly good. The service was great and the vibe was lovely. Highly recommend.

What a true treat !!! Real Southern fried chicken! Great greens and try the corn salad it was refreshing and delicious! A little pricey but the flavor and outstanding service made it with it ! Cozy atmosphere!

The fried chicken & biscuit were delicious but our server was horrendous. The service was really slow for how many people were there. I'd understand if it was packed and our server was running around like a chicken with her head cut off.. but nope.

Had heard a lot about this place and was excited to try it with my extended family. Went on a Sunday night and had to wait about an hour - cocktails and drinks were availbe at a walk-up window on a shade covered deck. Not a problem. When we were called we got a high-top table for our party of six right by the bar. In fact, the bartender that evening provided excellent service for our group. We ordered the pimento cheese dip to start - excellent and enjoyed by all. The fried chicken that nearly all of us ordered was amazing. The sides were great as well. I had the chicken biscuit sandwich with honey butter - It was the best chicken biscuit I've ever had. Prices are fair - the service was excellent. If I was a local I'd be there once a week for sure. Enjoy!

Absolute horrible manager! ( or so she said she was) hard to tell without a name tag! We had booked online and were told 1 hour for our party of six. After we arrived ( 25 minutes after) we were told 60 minutes! When trying to find out why, she then told us the online seating didn't count. She was beyond rude and kept blaming us for any questions we had. Some of us decided to stay and after another 15 minutes passed, two of them went up to simply check on the table and she told them they were no longer going to be seated!! Unbelievable attitude and so called customer care! I will never return! Even after 28 years of regular attendance...not again!

Once we arrive the environment made me and my family very uncomfortable, not kid friendly, the food was over-fried, owner was rude and seemed entitled,, and flies were everywhere, definitely a one time visit 👎👎

I will start by saying that the food is really good. We got the smallest family style meal and the chicken and sides were really good. Now on to the bad. Waited an hour and a half to get in the restaurant after we were told it would be an hour wait. Honestly not that big of a deal, didn’t bother me that much, but the guy at hostess stand was unapologetic and really rude the one time I asked what our wait would be. Almost like he was pissed that I asked what the wait would be. Once we were seated we waited another hour a half to eat. We sat right next to the kitchen and it is obvious the size of the kitchen is too small to accommodate that large of a seating area. The worst part of the experience was when we got the bill. $7 for a bottled cheerwine is absolute insanity. $5 for a bottled coke is even worse. They even had the audacity to charge me an additional $2 for CRYSTAL HOT SAUCE for the table, an item you can get for less than $2 at the grocery store. Food was great, but they completely miss the point in every other aspect of the service industry. Any true “Southern” restaurant wouldn’t gouge you like this place. We got on the online waitlist at 6:30 and didn’t receive our food until 10. Really disappointing experience.

This trip was definitely not worth the drive. 2:30pm on a Sunday had tables open but we had to wait 33 minutes for 2 people. Put in the side room with a screaming baby next to us and a lot of flies. While waiting we were sent a text showing us our place in line plus a menu which had lower prices ie: 1/2 chicken dinner $29.95 but the menu inside showed $32.95 and less available regular sides, we brought this to their attention nicely but we were told that due to inflation the prices just went up on Friday and that they haven't adjusted the online menu. Writing this while waiting for our food and hoping it will arrive soon since we are going on to 4:00 shortly. Seriously not impressed as of yet today and we normally dine here every other week or so.
Food was average (not great/not bad) but very over priced. Over $30 for chicken lunch plus they added 3 percent because we used a credit card. Crazy!

Don't sleep on this spot! We ordered the fried chicken, catfish platter and shrimp and grits. You can tell right away that they love what they do. The ingredients are top notch, the service was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. We tried most of the sides as well, everything was excellent! We're so appreciative of good food when we travel. If you're staying in Holland or surrounding areas, make the 15 minute commute for some of the best food in the area.
